Are there two types of headlamp control?
One, as in my RC, that simply dips the main beam and a second that (I think) rayaans describes, that modifies the beam pattern of the high beam?
Unfortunately TPMS of some description is now a requirement on all new cars (from 2010?)
The ABS indirect system s probably the least costly but also the least accurate, version.
If you use the paddles you will use engine braking not regenerative braking. I've found it less effective in recharging the battery. The engine will come on to provide the retardation. If you simply apply the brakes you can push the regen to max quite easily.
Using the paddles whilst in D will limit the gear range, great if negotiating hills.
The engine is spun up by one of the electric motors (MG1?) powered by the traction battery. Massively more powerful than a traditional starter motor. IIRC it spins the engine up to the correct revs before the ignition actually starts.
I don't feel there's much to worry about. Given how relatively rare the cars are there's not much chance of your number plate being used to ring a stolen car.
There didn't seem any logic to it. My C class with Thermatic didn't but the same model with Thermotronic climate control did but not all cars. We never discovered why..
Generally speaking once set why would one need to change the vents?
Not all Mercs had illuminated vent wheels, even in the same model range, some did some didn't. Bit like to non-illuminated lighting switch..
Is the car going to be imported to Denmark, or a temporary stay?
If the latter, nothing needed. The former, probably needs headlamp units swapping for compliance with regulations?
