  3. Did you get the 'base' grade with Premium Pack? There is no mention of adding the lumbar support (available in the F Sport and Takumi grades) in the premium pack info. The contents of this pack include Privacy glass, rear doors and tailgate Smart Entry LED cornering lights Wireless smartphone charger Touch pad with 'MAP' button Powered Tailgate Smart entry and start system Lexus media display with 10 speakers, 1-DVD Steering column, electrically multi-adjustable Parking assist sensors, 4 front and 4 rear Power adjustable heated leather steering wheel 10" Navigation LED front fog lights
  4. Try using the mobile app, My Lexus. It seems more reliable than the online version.
  5. How about the clear film type? Plenty on Amazon for ~£15 per metre
  6. There's no designed in 'error' as with the speedometer. The odometer accurately counts the wheel revolutions, so the error will be the difference in circumference from new to worn tyres. Not easily calculated as it will depend on how the tyres wear, which depends on the style of driving and the type of roads driven...
  7. "While speedometers are calibrated to fudge the numbers a little, odometers are designed to reflect accurate mileage, Tetzlaff says." "The odometer, which directly reflects what the sensors are recording, doesn't have the same built-in inaccuracy as the speedometer. If your speedometer is off, it doesn't necessarily follow that the odometer is inaccurate too." https://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-drive/culture/commuting/why-you-may-not-be-driving-as-fast-as-you-think/article11487709/

  10. I think that should be the LC500h? The IS-F is slated to receive the same engine.
  11. Don't they already have a twin turbo V6, in the LC500?
  12. Linked article is talking about the IS not ES? Can't think why Toyota/Lexus would use a competitor's engine when they have a perfectly good V6 of their own?
  13. Have a read here https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/
  14. Setting to "car always moving up the screen" allows one to easily correlate left and right turns/junctions etc. seen on the map to what one sees out the window.
  15. Yes, Lexus have a service plan, have a look on their website, all the details are there..
  16. Use the water drop test to check if leather is sealed/coated. If the droplet is absorbed, unsealed. If the droplet just sits on the surface, sealed/coated. Oil or grease can stain even coated leather. It would be very unusual for automotive leather to be uncoated ....
  17. Search on Fuelly.com for real world mpg figures
  18. Depending on date, I'm up for a burger ...
  19. Mild (wool) soap solution in warm water applied with a damp (not wet) soft cloth will remove most contamination. Very grubby/ingrained dirt might need a little agitation with a soft nail brush. Wipe over with clean damp cloth, job done. Or you can buy the Lexus leather cleaner kit ...
  20. Fitting Hid lamps into halogen light units is an MoT fail and potentially dazzling to other drivers. You could try fitting upgraded halogen lamps from the likes of Phillips or Osram i.e. Nightbreaker +
  21. Tyre pressures ok? The colder weather will cause a drop in pressure
  22. You obviously haven't been on holiday with my good lady, just a stay of a few days will involve a ridiculous amount of luggage! I thought the RC might necessitate a rationalisation in the number of outfits chosen but no, it all went in there. Ok, the car will never challenge an estate for load lugging but it's descriptively capacious! How did the car handle with what must have been quite a weight back there?
  23. I don't believe the CT has the function to display individual pressures, nothing mentioned in the handbook accept the warning lamp.
