  1. I would doubt this, manufacturers don't generally include looms etc for options not fitted at build
  2. Can't say I ever noticed this. Try clearing you browser's cache and see what happens?
  3. Use your insurance provider. You are paying them a premium for a service, so use them. Even if you were to continue 'waiting for the outcome' your insurers will be contacted and informed at some stage anyway
  4. Firstly check any relevant fuses? Then determine exactly what's wrong. Get the car on a diagnostic reader, Techstream? perhaps?
  5. My phone goes in the armrest cubby, I don't need to see it whist driving. On longer journeys with the phone tethered and providing real time traffic to the Lexus sat nav I have it plugged into the USB to keep the charge level up, still in the cubby out of sight.
  6. If a new fob battery doesn't help and a second fob is the same I'd say you may have an issue with the car side of things. Possibly the antenna amp is down?
  7. Compare your mpg with others on Fuelly useful for real life average comparison.
  8. Not on a Lexus but I had a policy with Warranty Direct on my 10yr old AMG. Very good experience, had two claims. One done through the Mercedes dealership for a wheel bearing (being AMG it had to be sent from Germany cost ~£600!) all handled by dealer, no paperwork no hassle. The second claim was through an MB specialist for gearbox conductor plate. Again no hassle. Warranty Direct's initial (online) quote for the policy was ridiculously high but I phoned and challenged it, they reduced it by almost 50%.. Renewal quote was again stupidly high and again they dropped it when challenged. Always worth negotiating, I also got the limit on labour cost removed.
  9. Just examples of how others do it 😎 Personally I think the column mounted paddles look too big. Is it easy to accidentally catch on them? That said the buttons on the back of my AMG caught me out a couple of times! Unintentional down shift while negotiating a roundabout, leading to lots of sideways action 😁
  10. Can't say I've found it an issue. When driving 'enthusiastically' (the only time I really use the paddles) I rarely remove my hands from the wheel, the positioning at 9/3 o'clock is just perfect IMHO. Any 'gear' changes would be done well before negotiating any corners requiring more steering lock.
  11. Metaphorically speaking hopefully!! Look forward to meeting you at one of our GTGs
  12. I've found that if one has the phone tethering, providing live traffic, parking etc, the text function doesn't work. On my Pixel 2 android.
  13. Are there two types of headlamp control? One, as in my RC, that simply dips the main beam and a second that (I think) rayaans describes, that modifies the beam pattern of the high beam?
  14. Avez-vous essayé de sélectionner l'icône boussole. (sorry, simple Google translation) Edit - beaten to it ...
  15. Unfortunately TPMS of some description is now a requirement on all new cars (from 2010?) The ABS indirect system s probably the least costly but also the least accurate, version.
  16. If you use the paddles you will use engine braking not regenerative braking. I've found it less effective in recharging the battery. The engine will come on to provide the retardation. If you simply apply the brakes you can push the regen to max quite easily. Using the paddles whilst in D will limit the gear range, great if negotiating hills.
