  1. Perhaps you should be more concerned about dazzling oncoming drivers? These MoT rules aren't just thrown in for devilment....
  2. One doesn't adjust it one resets the trip point to the current tyre pressure, so make sure they are correct first.
  3. I'm sure all clusters are the same, differentiated only by coding. As Colin suggests it may only be available on Premium (and F-Sport clusters, as in my car)?
  4. The question I'd be asking is why is the cable missing? Was it ever fitted? If it was never fitted pretty sure there would be some coding with TechStream to enable the communication. Do you need to switch to a specific display screen to view the nav info?
  5. Check the phone is set to auto-connect each time. The "PLEASE CHECK MOBILE PHONE" message may imply the phone is displaying a request to connect?
  6. I used the My Lexus portal on their website to register the multimedia system. One has to input the unique ID number from the media system itself. The phone app has populated the info from the portal, so I can't experiment to see how one might do it using the app.
  7. Use the pressures printed on the label on the driver's B pillar (possibly on the fuel filler flap), also tabled in your handbook
  8. Have you tried a different pump?
  9. Never had a car with a floor mounted dip control but did have a Cortina with foot operated screen wash and single wipe control ..
  10. I have the wipers renewed every 12 months, usually at service time, maybe sooner. Small pennies for a clear screen..
  11. Bit more than £50k needed ... "The rules regarding insurance do not apply to a vehicle owned by a person who has deposited and keeps deposited with the Accountant General of the Senior Courts the sum of £500,000, at a time when the vehicle is being driven under the owner’s control." http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/52/section/144
  12. They also tend to switch off when seeing reflective road signs, plunging one into (relative) darkness down country lanes!
  13. Well, Mercedes certainly don't, even if a loom is fitted it won't have the wires required to operate the additional options.
  14. They plan to demolish it (structurally unsound) don't they and build flats in it's place?
  15. Must admit I find it a very helpful reminder, especially when driving unfamiliar roads...
  16. Have a read of this ... http://www.lawgistics.co.uk/read-news/1292#sthash.gRZKMSgl.dpbs
  17. I know it's a good few years back but when I rebuilt my Singer Chamois into a Monte Carlo rally car and then my Chevette into the HSR I had to get engineer's reports befor any insurer would touch them. That my ave been because they were heavily modified, would it be the same with a rebuilt 'standard' model?
  18. Ditto, I used Collinite 915 and found one only needed to merest smear to give amazing gloss and durability. The one tin has lasted ~ 8yrs!
  19. Lovely colour and great shine, what did you use on the paintwork? What part of the headlamps are LED?
  20. Check your home insurance to see if car keys are covered ...
  21. Check comparability here https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/your-vehicle/#bluetooth-compatibility-tool
  22. I've found Deblock to work well at freeing and lubricating a seized lock .. http://www.innotecworld.com/products/greases-lubricants.php?productid=84
  23. Every car I have driven with a sunroof has exhibited the same resonance above a certain speed and the only solution has been to crack open a rear window. Or slow down!
