  1. What was the solution?
  2. Didn't know increases were applied retroactively?
  3. Great, just like mine looks.. But just imagine how yours looks after you've hit that pedestrian ... Then imagine how the relatives will look at you, never mind how your insurer will look at your case... But then you're potentially saving £xxxx , yeh!!
  4. I don't think they've changed anything physical, probably just a programming tweak. I've noticed that the car will move off on electric even when the ICE is cold without me forcing EV mode. The previous model would fire-up the ICE within 10sec unless I pressed the EV mode. Will see if it also does so come the colder months. They've also moved the EV indicator to a smaller curved icon within the circumference of the main meter, subtle...
  5. How about the DPF? Get the car on Techstream and check for fault codes.
  6. I couldn't find anything mentioned in the tester's manual
  7. Perhaps getting a little ahead of ourselves here? Let's see what Lexus diagnose from their health check? Generally speaking the hybrid system is very reliable, with only the batteries failing on the rare occasion there's a problem.
  8. In your first post you said they were now feeling ok, after you trip to Heathrow. What's changed? I'd say either try a different make of tyre, see if you still notice this effect. I'd also say get the suspension geometry checked, not just an alignment but full 4 wheel check. Also have the rear suspension bushes checked. As to whether the garage would take back the tyres only a phone call will answer that.
  9. The hybrid health check also looks at the cooling system, it's more than just the traction battery check. https://blog.lexus.co.uk/lexus-hybrid-health-check/
  10. I have a Pixel 2 android phone and have connected services working. The only function not supported is email messages. Have you set up an account on the Lexus portal, this is required for things like the connected services to function. Live traffic, parking info etc..
  11. I wonder how that would work should the unfortunate happen and such a modified car hits a pedestrian and causes the very head injuries this pop up feature is designed to mitigate? How would one's insurer view such a modification? Tampering with a safety device?
  12. I had the same on my boot lid on the ceramic coated Sonic Red RC. Took it to the dealership and they arrange for the boot lid to be polished and recoated.
  13. Check the functionality of each phone type here - https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/bluetooth/#bluetooth-compatibility
  14. Quite fascinating and relatively simple compared to other LSDs. A bit like comparing an e-CVT with a conventional automatic? Fewer components, less wear potential. Worth reading the top comment by techdaemon in the section below the video..
  15. I use one of these, quick, easy to read and accurate Amazon.co.uk
  16. According to the Lexus EU tech doc for my 2016 RC300h the car maintains brake hydraulic pressure to all four wheels to prevent the car rolling backwards
  17. According to my handbook - "The Pop Up Hood system cannot be reused once it has operated. Have it replaced by any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer." "When the Pop Up Hood is operated ●Do not pull the hood lock release lever. Doing so after the Pop Up Hood has operated will further raise the hood and may cause an injury. Do not drive with the hood raised, as doing so may block the driver’s vision, possibly causing an accident. Do not forcibly push down the hood. As the popped up hood cannot be lowered by hand, doing so may deform the hood or cause an injury. If the Pop Up Hood has operated, have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer. If the Pop Up Hood has operated, stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer."
  18. Wife is threatening divorce if I clean it on day 3 of ownership! Storm clouds are gathering anyway, guess we'll have rain within the hour ..
  19. We had it briefly a while back but then gone again!
  20. Answered above posts 2 and 3 ...
  21. See your other thread...
  22. Find a different fitter! They shouldn't be wiring into the traction battery circuit. There will be a 12v accessory fuse for this sort of thing.
  23. I can't resist ... The RC300h is fast enough, more than fast enough to loose one's license There I've said it and I'm proud to be a 300h driver..
