  1. Also to induce understeer, or perhaps more correctly, reduce the chance of oversteer
  2. I also live in an area with little in the way of street lighting but I don't use the AHS as the system is too slow to react to on-coming vehicles and too fast to react to reflections from road signs!!
  3. Even better, from the Lexus-tech EU doc for my car.. "If the 2-piece disc rotor is used together with a steel wheel, the disc hat may deform, causing the wheel nut to loosen. Only use aluminium wheels." So, I couldn't use a 'space-saver' type wheel anyway ...
  4. Of course, as long as the front and rear wheels are the same size, which mine aren't... So what size does one buy? That's how space savers came about, they fit either axle.
  5. Is it not worth a chat with Lexus? The car is still under warranty. Nothing ventured nothing gained...
  6. Which wouldn't help if one has a car with staggered set-up. Rear wheel/tyres combo wouldn't fit on the front. One of the main reasons for having a space-saver (i.e. narrow) wheel?
  7. The Lexus/AA definition of a "breakdown" (my highlighting) "Breakdown - An unforeseen event when an Eligible Vehicle or an Other Vehicle is immobilised as a result of the failure of a mechanical or electronic part or system or combination thereof (including any manufacturer’s accessory); a puncture; a lock out; theft; attempted theft; vandalism or a lack of fuel, oil or consumable item. The failure of any part or system component may be customer induced provided that it was accidental."
  8. Lexus Roadside Assistance is provided by the AA T&Cs here - https://d3rvezpmgp265q.cloudfront.net/lexusone/lexgbenv11/LRA-brochure_tcm-3157-1272758.pdf
  9. Not since Nov 2018, anyone can place a car for sale ad, you must use the provided template though... Read here -
  10. A greengrocer's favorite customer! 😊
  11. Drove my RC in the sunshine, with the sunroof open. Beautiful car, beautiful day, beautiful drive... I'm really enjoying my RC300h
  12. Possibly need a new parking sensor but the central radar sensor (behind the Lexus logo) looks untouched. Parking sensor is £80 approx
  13. The new clock in my 2019 RC is rather classy IMHO
  14. Either over the radio TMS or, if your phone is tethered, from the internet. TMS is always active but relies on lorry (mainly) movements. I've found both systems quite accurate at avoiding hold-ups
  15. Have a check here https://www.lexus-tech.eu/Bluetooth/searchdedicated.aspx?lang=en
  16. Sorry, I got the wrong software version! You are correct When I use the phone on long journeys I plug it into the USB power, keeps the battery topped up but my Pixel doesn't get warm. Plus the centre armrest cubby seems to be cooled? Perhaps the same on your NX, you could keep the phone in there?
  17. Can the car's system handle two simultaneous connections? Can you still use you mobile for calls through the car?
  18. You sure? The website doesn't list the S8 and only two Samsung models (S4 and Mega) show as compatible with Connected services via DUN/PAN I know Samsung are problematic when used in Mercedes for anything other than the basics.. Do you have a different phone you could try?
  19. I wonder what the new reg are? The WLTP regs for all new registrations came in Sept/2018 .. CO2 hasn't changed and that's the figure used for VED calculations. ETA - Perhaps it's the RDE (The Real Driving Emissions) tests? Relevant only from 1st September 2019, all new registrations will be subject to RDE testing. My car would have come in just before the requirement.
  20. Have you checked your phone is compatible? https://www.lexus-tech.eu/Bluetooth/searchdedicated.aspx?lang=en
  21. Sounds more like a problem with the dealership, if they're having problems with another marque as well? I had no issues with my new RC registered 2 months back.
  22. Have you tethered your phone to the car and allowed to share it's internet connection?
  23. My 2016 model did come with the protection pack fitted. Mud flaps front & rear, boot liner and cargo net, rubber over-mats and rear bumper plate. I ordered the protection pack for my 2019 model but didn't spot that the pack had changed to include only the boot liner and (rather randomly!) illuminated scuff plates (door sills). That said the illuminated scuff plates are rather smart There were a number of errors in the online specifications namely, AHS & 10-way seats,The former has now been removed but the later persists The Takumi pack is still incorrectly detailed and there still isn't an updated brochure..
  24. I spoke with the Lexus product team and they advised me that the mud flaps for the pre-2019 model will not fit the new model. I can see that the lower profile on the rear wheel arch is different from my previous model but the fronts appear the same but Lexus were adamant they wouldn't fit.
