  1. Dyno runs are great for before and after comparison figures demonstrating any increased output due to tuning work but as a stand alone measurement, one would need to show calibration certs for the dyno for the figures to carry any weight.
  2. Not in my experience with Lexus Swindon, who have as Rayaan has said above do the check each service. I was speaking with their geometry tech only two weeks ago. All he does is geo checks/adjustments.. I just wasn't sure if the checks were done on the RX as on my RC.
  3. I think the 'problem' is with the OP's dealership not Lexus per se. Structural Blue is clearly easily repaired as per the video (in fact it's an easier respray than the 4 layer Sonic red, Ultrasonic blue/ Naples yellow and Sonic titanium). Sourcing the paint shouldn't be an issue either. Obviously not common as so few cars out there with this colour but should be an issue IMHO. Try a different dealership, or as suggested above, contact Lexus UK directly
  4. This might be of interest to you "Lexus Structural Blue, paint code 8Y0 is a standard basecoat/clearcoat system. This amazing color looks like it might be difficult to repair, but actually, it's very simple. Follow this recommended procedure from PPG to perform a small spot repair on this color. Structural Blue was developed by Lexus and VIAVI Solutions Inc. It’s based on the coloration of the vibrant morpho butterfly, a species found in Central and South America. The butterfly appears blue in color but does not actually have blue scales in its wing surfaces. The blue color — which varies depending on the ambient light — is achieved through light interference. PPG has introduced a training video to assist paint technicians with refinishing Lexus automobiles sporting the OEM’s Structural Blue finish. The video has been produced to dispel the notion that complex colors require a complex refinish process. In fact, it's not difficult at all." I was quoted £1100 to repair a simple stone chip on my Sonic Red painted bonnet..
  5. Broken wire(s) in the loom going through the door hinge bellows?
  6. I was surprised to find that a full 4 wheel alignment check as standard on full service on my RC (it's listed on the service check sheet, any required adjustments would be additional charge), on my 2016 RC final service it was noted that the inner edges of the rear tyres were showing wear. This was normal for my model, according to the service manager. Does the RX also benefit from a full 4 wheel alignment check at service time?
  7. I have used an Android phone with both my 2016 and now 2019 model with no issues. My phone (not the Lexus Nav) doesn't support email. The Lexus Nav appears to drop SMS notifications when the phone is used as a bluetooth hotspot for live traffic and Nav services.
  8. Have a look here for phone compatibility https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/bluetooth/#bluetooth-compatibility
  9. Surely one knows one's own town? One shouldn't need guidance to one's own doorstep! I programmed my local Police station as "Home" 😁
  10. From a supplier of conversion kits - "Are HID Conversion Kits Legal? Unfortunately, HID conversion kits are not road legal. No aftermarket HID kit is strictly road legal as you are changing the lighting system (from halogen to gas discharge) in your car and for this reason the bulbs cannot be E marked which is a legal requirement. You also won't have the self leveling and washer systems installed which is also a legal requirement for HID. Without these installed, the kit would be an MOT failure." https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/faqs.html
  11. Is the activation speed the same in both cars, i.e. are you going fast enough to trigger the system on?
  12. No sunroof, no A pillar drain tube. Check under the bonnet against the scuttle to see if there's any debris stopping water draining away from the corners. Also check right in the join between the bulkhead and inner wings, especially around any wiring grommets.
  13. Possibly a blocked windscreen scuttle drain. Do you have a sunroof? Could be a corroded/split A pillar drain tube.
  14. Possibly a blocked windscreen scuttle drain. Do you have a sunroof? Could be a corroded/split A pillar drain tube.
  15. Perhaps turn off the sensors when not needed? I was surprised they don't go off automatically above a set speed, as they did on my Mercs.
  16. Do the rear seats also recline when in their rearmost position?
  17. Remapping will bring the most return for investment.
  18. I posted this on another thread regarding winter morning starts. My winter routine.. Open car, start engine, switch on heated seats (and now I can also switch on the heated steering wheel 😎) switch on the heated rear screen and door mirrors. Scrape windscreen and side windows clear Get back in and drive away. Car is pushing out warm air within 1 mile, seats are toasty warm... Unless you are parked on private land (driveway) it is an offence to leave a car unattended with the engine running.
  19. On the standard Lexus offering of speed camera alert one can also add new locations. I only noticed this recently. Once a destination has been set and route calculated an add location button is available to input a newly spotted camera. Not sure if this location is only stored on the car or if it is added to a central data centre.
  20. How about fitting one of these? Condition the battery at the same time.. https://www.webasto-comfort.com/en-uk/product-overview/product/show/ethermo-top-eco/ Or the more usual petrol version, operable anywhere (outside).. https://www.webasto-comfort.com/en-uk/product-overview/product/show/thermo-top-evo-1/
  21. So they're expanding, outgrown the current premises you say? Surely they would be moving to or building bigger showrooms nearby to serve this expanded clientele? That said, how often does one visit the dealership? Once a year for servicing? I'd be happy enough to drive the hour.
  22. My hybrid warms up within a mile, as I posted above
  23. My RC300h warms up remarkably quickly! Within 1 mile there is serious warmth coming from the vents. This is even faster than my 5.4ltr V8 could manage. It definitely warms up more quickly when worked (driven) rather than leaving it idling. When the a/c is set on Auto the system will not turn up the fans until there is heat available, so no icy blast. The petrol engine will always run until up to operating temp. It's noticeable in these colder days that the engine will cut in irrespective of traction battery level, just to supply heat to the cabin.
  24. More specifically your car's dashboard/centre console illuminations. 😎 My RC300h
