  1. I only ever fill up with Shell V-Power. No need to but for the price difference on the miles I do it's insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Horses for courses of course but personally I would never use supermarket fuels, they're cheaper for a reason ...
  2. True but not when in ACC mode, only when in READY mode.
  3. It's a relatively common problem and the same solution in Mercedes models. The air distribution flaps go out of sync/calibration and just need resetting via MB Star diagnosis software. Always the first thing to try.
  4. Handbook recommendations are for cold pressure i.e. before the car has been driven any distance. If you are only reaching the recommended pressure after driving a distance your tyre pressures are below those recommended. That all said these are only recommended and the difference you measured is easily within accuracy error in the devices used.
  5. It does a great job at mimicking real gear shifts when in S mode
  6. What are your requirements from the car?
  7. 50% spl reduction but just ~18% perceived sound reduction. Test results are one thing but personal experience, another.
  8. Holy thread revival! The OP hasn't visited the forum for nearly 3yrs ...
  9. CANbus theft simply gets the thief into the car where they can then register a new key via the OBD socket. This is then recognised by the Lexus immobiliser as genuine and will release the car security. The factory fitted Lexus security is relatively easily circumvented
  10. At the height of the British empire english was the most widely spoken language and the official language of its colonies. There was little impetus to learn another language. Even now the official language of aviation is English. Only in the EU and the Eurovision song contest is there an attempt to repeat everything in french. 😁
  11. If one misses the reading window it simply gets included in the next . One doesn't miss out on any payments, it just gets delayed to the next quarter
  12. https://i.stuff.co.nz/motoring/300891666/toyota-corolla-fuelled-by-liquid-hydrogen-completes-24hour-race
  13. Brake squeak/groan is common with hybrids and regen braking. As the mechanical brakes (pads and discs) are only applied at <5mph or in emergency situations the pads do tend to groan on application. Nothing much to be done but learn how to feather brake pressure to release pressure just before the car stops. I just live with it..
  14. You can use the car as normal, the update will continue at the start of the next journey. Mine must have taken at least four 1/2hr trips!
  15. I looked into this and found nothing other than the statement in the handbook that the RX is not designed for off road driving. Personally I wouldn't drive through water that could potentially rise above the door sill
  16. The handbook covers all grades (trim level), maybe your grade doesn't have auto-folding mirrors?
  17. Megawatt Charging System will kill hydrogen trucks once and for all, says electric truck expert https://chargedevs.com/newswire/megawatt-charging-system-will-kill-hydrogen-trucks-once-and-for-all-says-electric-truck-expert/
  18. The Lexus e-Store download site has all the instructions.
  19. I'd be surprised if such a safety related warning also referred to anything else. Imagine driving down the motorway and the light came on. Do you stop when safe to do so and check your tyres? Or do you continue 'cos it might be "something else"?
  20. If you have an accident involving a third party you must inform your insurer (it's in the T&Cs you agreed to) because should the third party claim on their insurance your insurers will find out as all companies share this information.
