What does your insurer think to the modification? Mine refused to cover me if I did it on the Merc I had

Auto lights/wipers
NemesisUK replied to Lizard Lounger's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Nothing stopping one from turning them on manually.. That said my Mercedes had the auto lights on with wipers, as it's a requirement in Germany. -

Have you checked the Customisation section in your owner's handbook? -
150w vacuum pump + 220v converter?

Don't leave the transmission in N as the system can't recharge the hybrid battery even if the engine is running. -
ULEZ and Rx400h 2005
NemesisUK replied to Ezzie's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
"Approximately 80% of the vehicles on UK roads already meet minimum ULEZ emissions standards: Euro 4 for petrol (from January 2006) and the tougher Euro 6 for diesel (from September 2015). This means that every petrol or petrol-electric hybrid Lexus produced since January 2006 is ULEZ compliant and therefore exempt from paying this surcharge." https://mag.lexus.co.uk/london-congestion-charge-ulez/#:~:text=This means that every petrol, exempt from paying this surcharge. -
Make sure you are formatting to FAT32 not the default ExFAT Windows now uses, the car cannot recognise ExFAT. I had to use a third party app to force the formatting to FAT32

Oh, the shame! Just paid someone to wash the car!
NemesisUK replied to LenT's topic in Lexus General Discussions
On average I probably give the car a wipe down every couple of days, maybe every day depending on the conditions.. To do the wheels I now have to sit on the same box I use to reach the centre of the RX roof, my knees are shot! -
Another quote from that article.. "It is even worth considering the possibility that Lexus may not of had a problem with their LS400 models at all. If done right, a company can provide ‘excellent’ customer service if they fabricate a fixable issue and then provide first-class service while fixing the issue." Was it simply a publicity stunt? Or was it a cautious reaction to a potentially dangerous fault? Either way it only concerned a relatively small number of vehicles Not the same as a 'simple' loss of a car due to the ingenuity of car thieves. Potentially involving many hundreds of thousands of vehicles..

Britain's leading lithium hub in Cornwall...
NemesisUK replied to Kevin Williams's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
Is this after declaring themselves independent? 🤓 😉 -
Presumably because they believe it is unsafe? No reason to mention it otherwise and I personally wouldn't second guess it..

Yellow is a very rare colour, for a very good reason. It's not at all popular! If you are getting offers to buy it, bite their hand off. You could be waiting a long time for the special person who wants a high mileage, yellow IS200

Top spec is always the Takumi, although you can get more tech in an F-Sport with Takumi spec. My guess is the Takumi will be more 'luxurious' with softer seats and suspension. You need to get out in one or two examples because I think you might find it difficult to equal the comfort/ride quality of the GS

Speed limit sounds
NemesisUK replied to Goodplan53's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
I posted something similar regarding the accuracy of the speed limit warning. Seems the car's GPS/maps overides the camera recognition? -

One can also delete the destination, thereby cancelling the route guidance, (page 93 in the Nav manual) Press the “MAP” button on the Remote Touch. Select *** on the map screen. Select “Route” When a destination is set Select “Delete”. Select “Yes”. -

locking wheel nuts
NemesisUK replied to robby666's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Locking wheel nuts were always a dealer, or at least post assembly, fit. Personally I wouldn't bother these days -
It's simply legalese. They could never openly admit or even hint, at any shortcomings. Just imagine the law suits and claims that would ensue.
