  1. An interesting resource, admittedly manly for non-EU vehicles but may be useful? It's not just Lexus but many other marques as well https://www.automobile-catalog.com/list-lexus.html
  2. Perhaps I should have said "up to a maximum of 10% over-read". Unless I have modified my car by fitting different wheels/tyres etc. I don't concern myself with the speedometer accuracy. Speed limits are just that, a limit. Not a target.
  3. All manufacturers speedometers over-read, usually by approximately 10% By law they must not under-read. I've only checked mine against those roadside indicators and always seems to be within a couple of mph shown.
  4. This would also be a major MoT test failure, if the tester can be bothered to look. 8.2.2.1. Exhaust emission control equipment
  5. Would also invalidate insurance.
  6. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/china-fines-toyota-87-6-144426072.html?guccounter=1
  7. I think I have a rare automatic version, it refills without any intervention by me
  8. Careful handling and proper regular services should see all ok (yes, still talking about the mug!! 😏)
  9. No doubt it will give many years of trouble free service
  10. No doubt it will give many years of trouble free service
  11. Poor or corroded connections to the screen heater? Does the heater clear the screen evenly?
  12. Go for it! They are offering to 'freeze' the premium for three years (well they have on the policy I took out on the RC300h. They were cheaper by far than my Direct Line renewal and any other quote on the web)
  13. Drove my Lexus through some torrential rain today, plenty of surface water and spray. Had to drive through a flooded underpass, water was approx sill height. I waited, much to the annoyance of following cars, for a gap in the oncoming traffic then drove very much on the opposite side of the road not because the water might have been shallower there but to prevent any oncoming vehicles entering the flood and causing a bow wave. Car went through without problem. Not something I would want to do too often...
  14. Looks aftermarket Have you tried pressing it?
  15. It's mapping data stored on the Sat nav. So may be out of date, depending on you mapping version. On my 2019 model I can add locations on the fly, as I see them. Not sure if this is then just stored locally or shared via the Lexus server.
  16. Just correlated the beeps with passing cameras initially but got it confirmed by my dealer
  17. Double beep is the speed camera warning, approx 0.5 mile from the camera. It only warns of fixed cameras. There is no documentation regarding this function. Only now in my 2019 model is there a mention in the owner's handbook
  18. Hybrid system must be ready, or the car wouldn't start, it's the hybrid electric motor that spins the engine to start it. How long are you driving before saying the hybrid system doesn't engage (by which I understand you to mean the car won't go into EV mode)?
