  1. Keep yours. 40 euro is cheap for insurance should things go wrong, you can easily swap back to stock..
  2. Yes, I understand all that. My query was can the opening/closing of the windows be done via the door handle touch pad or only via the key fob? I thought that was what the OP was asking?
  3. Yes, I gave up on the covers. The leather is easily cleaned as part of routine cleaning. So much more comfortable than sitting on covers too!
  4. Is that enabling global opening/closing via the door handle? Mine has been set to operate using the remote fob, I didn't know one could also use the touch pad on the door handle?
  5. I used towelling 'easy on, easy off' covers on my cream RC seats for a couple of years. The heating and ventilation worked no issues.
  6. I'd imagine the spring rates would be different as, generally, diesel engines tend to be heavier than petrol versions.
  7. It's heavy because it has a large traction battery in the boot. I can't quite see why the weight would come from the amalgamation of three different platforms?
  8. Could the camera be reading the speed limit badges on the back of HGVs and vans?
  9. As there is no mechanical 'engaging and disengaging' with the eCVT transmission it really can only be an electrical glitch. That said there is (I believe) a pressure plate/vibration damper between the engine and the eCVT, perhaps that was slipping? As suggested before, possibly water ingress into a vital connection?
  10. Un-pair the bluetooth association with the car and keep bluetooth switched enabled on the phone and see if the battery drain continues. If it does your problem is with the phone...
  11. Can't imagine how it might fail, except perhaps electrical as the eCVT is very simple mechanically? Constantly meshed gears rotating in an oil bath. But the electronic control side? Maybe a loose connection? All speculation and guesswork. We all wait with baited breath to be updated..
  12. Worrying that they didn't know they needed that part before starting the job? Or is it they have to reorder a part, erm, "modified" during assembly?
  13. It doesn't like your taste in music?
  14. Check page 576 of the handbook, only via Lexus dealer https://d24bc9lyrt5en5.cloudfront.net/Customer-Portal-Admin/emanuals/LEXUS/OM53B95E.pdf
  15. I had cream coloured leather seats in my RC for three years, not a mark on them and hardly a crease. Even had the dog in the back many a time. Lexus leather is so much softer than that in my Mercs but I'd say it ages much better. Mercedes do have a recognised issue with seat bolsters splitting. Regular cleaning is key to maintaining a good leather surface.
  16. Fort William to Milton Keynes, non-stop overnight with the family (and dog) fast asleep in the back. Not a Lexus but a SEAT Alhambra....
  17. "Thief crushed to death by car while trying to steal catalytic converter ..." https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/18197902.thief-crushed-death-car-trying-steal-catalytic-converter/
  18. Is the layout not printed on the fuse box lid? Perhaps has a printed paper layout folded in the panel?
