  1. I used to used these on my Mercs Farecla G3 Body Prep Clay Mitt
  2. I used these from Seat Armour https://www.lanescarproducts.com/lexus-tan-car-seat-cover-towel-armour/
  3. I'm a Meguiar's man myself.
  4. Warm water with a little wool detergent added for the leather seats. A damp cloth for the dash and door cards and caps.
  5. Check the button in the glove box (if it's similar to my RC)? Perhaps the fob operation has been disabled? It's customisable by the dealer.
  6. One must press and hold to unlock the boot, the length of the hold can be set to long or short, it's a dealer customisation. One can also have the function set to a double press or disabled completely, all dealer only settings. Should be detailed in the owner's handbook under Customisation
  7. I was quoted £1200 to respray the bonnet on my Sonic Red RC because of one smallish stone chip. Any other repair would stick out like a sore thumb! The Sonic paints are a five layer finish and expensive to repair. IIRC there is only one company that offers a single pot repair paint and it's not Lexus... I carried that stone chip as a badge of honour......
  8. Hybrids don't have alternators, for the very reason he gives, the petrol engine doesn't run all the time. The 12v battery is recharged via the traction battery and can be recharged even when parked and the engine not running. In fact Lexus recommend putting a little used car into the Ready state at regular intervals to allow the 12v battery to recharge from the traction battery. Should the traction battery charge drop low the petrol engine will fire up and start charging the traction battery, providing the transmission is in Park. To answer your question, yes you could use a CTEK, connected to the 12v battery to keep it topped up. Left connected permanently it will maintain charge level automatically.
