  1. Those levels are normally quoted at a distance of 1m. Double that distance and reduces by 6dB , double the distance 1/2 the SPL So that horn is going to have to be right next to the car..
  2. All one ever wanted to know regarding ML in a Lexus (but in all reality couldn't give a ...... ) https://www.marklevinson.com/in-lexus.html#lexus-rc
  3. First up 'worth' is very much objective as is anything audio.. A car is hardly the place to expect HiFi audio. It's a tine box rumbling along an imperfect surface.. The standard audio in my first RC was perfectly acceptable (for an in car system) and the ML in my second RC is definitely an improvement on that. Is it worth the £1000 price tag? Well as a percentage of the overall purchase price, yes. As a stand alone cost no way.. Just about anything can be retro-fitted to vehicles these days but the complexity and the knock on costs are very much greater. Only the person paying the bill can assess it's worth to them.
  4. Voice control is the answer! (I heard that!...Pardon? 🤣
  5. saeculorum
  6. One can ask the system to read out the available commands should one forget the exact phrase. I've also discovered it matters which screen is being displayed when one issues a command. If the telephony screen is showing and one issues a navigation command the very polite lady plays dumb..
  7. Damp carpets? Damp cabin air filter? Blocked moon roof and/or windscreen scuttle drains? As mentioned if a/c fitted leave it on permanently but do check the above
  8. Also check the windscreen scuttle drains centre and each side of the car. Check the condition of the cabin air filter.
  9. Hybrid cars do not require an emissions test. The reason is that they cannot force the combustion engine to run during the test. From the MoT tester's manual 8.2.1.2. Gaseous emissions You must inspect vehicles with spark ignition engines first used on or after 1 August 1975. You do not need to check: L category vehicles hybrid vehicles - with electric and combustion engines hydrogen fuel cell vehicles two-stroke engines - unless they are subject to a catalyst test https://www.gov.uk/guidance/mot-inspection-manual-for-private-passenger-and-light-commercial-vehicles/8-nuisance
