  1. Yes, EV fires are very intense and extremely difficult to extinguish. If there's no danger to life, they are often left to burn out...
  2. How do you know it was over-charging that caused to incident? Could have been an electrical fault in the vehicle circuit? A short of some sort, from moisture ingress? Nasty all the same. I wonder how the insurance works out for this. Does the recharge station have cover for this or some clause that absolves them from blame?
  3. How did you determine this? Could it not simply be a cosmetic addition, to break-up the dash top?

  6. From the handbook (page 441) Adding engine oil If the oil level is below or near the low level mark, add engine oil of the same type as that already in the engine. Oil quantity (Low → Full) 1.5 L (1.6 qt., 1.3 Imp. qt.) I would use an oil siphon and remove the excess oil before it possibly contaminates the CATs or becomes aerated due to crankshaft lobes contacting the higher oil level..
