And any difference? What were/are the symptoms you experienced? Did your mechanic use a dial gauge to measure the disc run-out? If you've tried everything suggested and still have issues I'd suggest finding a different garage/mechanic.

Make sure the disc to hub mating surface is spotlessly clean when fitting new discs. Before replacing anything try a few emergency stops from high speed, (where safe to do so!) but don't come to a complete stop each time. This will clean off any pad deposit from the disc faces. If the problem goes away it could be your driving style is causing the issue. Do you come to a stop from speed and hold the brakes on?

Click on the 'Latest Posts' link in the top menu (in the red bar just below the forum header) In the list of threads displayed there will be small red dots to the left of each thread title. If you have posted in that thread it will actually be a small red star instead. If you have never read the thread before you'll go to the first post, otherwise you'll go to the first post posted since your last visit. If you hover the cursor over the dot it will say what it is. ETA - you can change the criteria for the unread content using the options shown top of the list. Things like the time period, threads you have posted in etc..
