  1. Do update this thread after your visit to the dealership
  2. In my RC I used a 128gb USB stick without issue, the handbook says max is 32gb.
  3. Cost and strength. Most diffs are made from cast iron for that very reason. The rust is only surface and the casting is thick enough for it not to be a problem
  4. No whistling from either of my RC models...
  5. You need to have the daylight saving button off ...
  6. Make sure you are pressing the release button for a good second. I was having intermittent issues only to find out I pressing long enough. Doesn't help with the kick release but just make sure you step back after the kick, otherwise the door won't open.
  7. Have you checked the settings recently, maybe you have inadvertently disabled the function?
  8. Generally speaking heavier cars ride better than lightweights. The greater mass is harder to deflect and so the movement is in the suspension, not the body. Obviously the damper can make a massive difference but it's easier to make a big, heavy car ride more smoothly. I say, ride not handle, the two things tend to be at odds. What people tend to notice more is the thump and bang as shallow sidewall tyres encounter road imperfections.
  9. No one but Lexus could know that but I feel they choose the colours they believe show the car at it's best.
  10. I've had the UX as a courtesy car and was very impressed with how it dealt with bad roads, far better than the RC I had at the time. I have had the RZ on a test drive, over the same roads and it wasn't as composed but have to say it was slightly better than my current RX. Trouble is there are so many influences vying for attention it's difficult to get a genuine impression until one has lived with a car for some time..
  11. I had this on my AMG and just opening the doors would result in the indicator going red!
  12. The advantages are considered to be one doesn't need to remove the key from one's pocket/handbag to unlock/lock or start the car. If the car is looked one would have to be within 0.5m of the door for the unlock to function. BTW there is no microwaves involved simply rf (radio frequency)! Your handbook details the operating range requirements for the smart access to work. Also details how one can disable the function should one feel it irrelevant or too mush of a security concern.
  13. Yup, it was in my RC but not in the RX...
  14. According to the Nav manual messages can be read out, if the correct settings have been made. Page 239 shows how.. Download from the Lexus.uk website.
  15. Your handbook suggests The suggested leather cleaner (also from the handbook) is simply a diluted water solution of approximately 5% neutral wool detergent, followed by a well wrung out cloth to remove all traces of the detergent.
  16. Both my RC and now my RX has a warning in the multi-information display when the tank is nearly empty, as did my Mercedes. Check your handbook, from the 2020 NX handbook
  17. Check the info plate on the B pillar to see if it is type approved for towing
  18. The time is set by GPS, to change from BST to GMT go to the settings menu and deselect the option
  19. Check the Customisation options in the handbook regarding locking/unlocking
  20. Turn off the Parking sensors?
  21. I would try a different dealer or a BMW independent?
  22. Can one not disable the function temporarily? It's only an aide, not safety critical
  23. And remember, it's a limit not a target...
