  1. Any help?
  2. It can be very difficult to find, it took me ages to find the one in my RC!
  3. It became a requirement from 2020, all new models sold after that date must have LKA enabled by default at each restart of the car. The function can only be temporarily disabled by the driver. Here's a good read ... https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2019/2144/oj
  4. Shouldn't the car notify with a dash message when the fob battery gets low?
  5. You would be happy paying 2 weeks short stay parking charges???? Another wind-up ...
  6. At least Lexus supply and fit free of charge!
  7. Lexus will do something, fit CANBUS protection plates, free of charge ...
  8. Except will it start in the morning??
  9. Must be far more difficult to gain access to the ES inner wheel arch, clearances are much smaller than on the RX and SUVs generally?
  10. There must be more to it, as in other factors involved, as I have never experienced this problem. Just lucky perhaps?
  11. The chilled air is dehumidified, so contains less moisture than ambient air and on a hot day surely any moisture would evaporate rather than condense? In fact driving ambient air into the chilled duct work is likely to do just that, the moisture in the ambient air will condense on the colder ductwork surfaces?
  12. As the a/c second main function is to dehumidify the incoming air I don't see how switching it off and allowing 'unconditioned' air through the system can dry it any better? I never switch off the a/c and in all the years I've had cars with a/c I have never suffered from foul smells (well, not from the a/c anyway 😉 )
  13. This is an interesting article regarding the insurance risk surrounding electric cars. There being no way currently to reliably diagnose if a battery has been compromised after even the smallest bump. Plus the requirement to quarantine EVs bringing extra storage costs https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/net-zero/electric-cars-risk-becoming-uninsurable/
  14. It's simply 'selling add-ons' and a very normal business practice in many markets. Stick with the scheduled maintenance and a polite "no thank you "
  15. Keep the a/c on at all times and the seals will keep lubricated and the air ducts won't get bacteria growing in them.
  16. Hankook tyres have a pretty good reputation, I'm sure they will perform admirably. When I had the RC and looked at winter tyres I was tempted to downsize to 18" rims and the tyres were significantly cheaper. Lexus wheels were ridiculously expensive though and I wasn't keen on 3rd party options. I just didn't drive when we had a couple of days snow!
  17. Depends if the scrotes can read or not ...
  18. The link in the OP is to the online brochure but is it for the 2023 model? When I bought my second RC the 2019 facelift, the brochure was wildly inaccurate! When I took possession of the car there were differences from what I was expecting. Lexus CS apologised and offered a number of freebies.
  19. Ditto, my first Mercedes was treated with Supagard and there was a large kit bag in the boot with all sorts of stuff, one of which was the bird dropping remover. Not sure what the formulation was but it didn't perform any better than warm water! Bottom line is if you don't get to the offending deposit whilst still wet the damage is done and nothing works better than copious amounts of warm water....
  20. The system is reactive not predictive, so it takes a few wipes before it can assess how heavily the rain is failing. Very fine rain can require a different setting to heavy 'summer' rain. I found the system worked well on both my RCs and on my RX. Better than the system on the Mercs, where no adjustment was possible. Also be aware it is possible to set the wipers to intermittent operation, check the handbook. I think patience is sometimes required for the system to settle down
  21. On many models it's a customisable feature that needs to be enabled by the dealer. P.S. Does one have to start the engine to close the windows, can one not simply turn to ACC ?
  22. Whatever someone is prepared to pay for it... Depends on how long you are willing to wait for the 'right' person to come along. RCF are quite rare beasts, so a small market... Try contacting the numerous plate traders on the web, many offer a valuation service
  23. Yep one doesn't have to twiddle that little lever at the top of the windscreen 😁
