  1. Yes, as detailed in your handbook Turning an electronic key to battery-saving mode When battery-saving mode is set, battery depletion is minimized by stopping the electronic key from receiving radio waves. Press twice while pressing and holding . Confirm that the electronic key indicator flashes 4 times. While the battery-saving mode is set, the smart entry & start system cannot be used. To cancel the function, press any of the electronic key buttons. Electronic keys that will not be used for long periods of time can be set to the battery-saving mode in advance.
  2. One still needs to push the lighting stalk forward but one can simply leave it there, effectively leaving the lights on full beam. From the handbook
  3. As above simple swap with the included starter but if you want to get the full benefit and save energy you will have to bypass the ballast as well.
  4. Do you have just auto high beam or the full adaptive high beam system? Sometimes it can be difficult to detect the changes with the adaptive set-up... This Lexus.eu tech doc is an interesting read, it's for the RX450h 2020 model. LIGHTING SYSTEM CONTROL ADAPTIVE HIGH-BEAM SYSTEM (AHS).pdf
  5. As the auto fold works ok and the drivers side mirror retracts ok then I'd guess a controller malfunction if it's just that one function that doesn't work on that side. The mirror isn't getting the command to retract on locking , replacing the mirror isn't likely to fix that.
  6. Does the passenger mirror fold in automatically?
  7. I'd take leather as I like the character it gains in usage, a patina if you like. My experience with alcantara, whilst being very comfortable, it shows signs of wear by the pile flattening and it can be difficult to keep clean. Horses for courses, we are all different and there is no 'correct' choice!
  8. From the handbook...
  9. Don't do it, there are other things that rely on the steering wheel angle. As mentioned above the clock spring can easily be broken if turned too far. Centering should be done by adjusting the track rod ends. I'm guessing whoever did the alignment only adjusted the one side
  10. It will have recommended cleaning info in your handbook. A damp cloth is usually all that's needed
  11. I don't think so. In my experience Dunlops wear much faster than the Michelin
  12. I have always favoured Michelin tyres. They wear well and keep their grip level right down to the 3mm limit when I renew tyres. I certainly wouldn't class them as soft though, that's why they last so well.
  13. 50ltres of V-Power 😉
  14. I used to put 2 or 3 paving slabs in the boot to aide traction, worked very well 🤠 There was a brief period where studded tyres were the thing to have, great on compacted snow or ice but lethal on dry roads! Think they got banned after one season?
  15. Family and friends drive their RWD Mercedes and BMWs all over southern Germany and the Alps throughout winter and never have a problem. Winter tyres used to be mandatory but now just recommended but should one be involved in an incident that the police believe was contributed to by not having winter tyres they throw the book at you! Tyres are everything when driving in adverse conditions.
  16. It's not rear wheel drive or the car, it's all about tyres. Winter or all season tyres will allow the car's systems to perform as designed.
  17. That function disappears randomly on my app also. Always reappears after a couple of days or less and all journeys are recorded. The My Lexus app is rather flaky, to say the least!
  18. My Mercedes levelled up on parking, particularly noticeable if the ground was uneven
  19. Yes, at least on my RC and RX but must admit 30sec to a minute seems a long time. I tend to hear it only for approx 5sec
  20. Have you tried adjusting the image quality using the adjustments in the setup menu?
  21. It's generally advised to get the suspension geometry checked after fitting new tyres, so the old tyre wear doesn't throw the measurements.
  22. The screen is the multimedia display and I had similar in my RC when the sat nav suddenly died., luckily it was under warranty still. If it is the multimedia unit that has died then an aftermarket version could be installed, utilising the existing display. Have a Google there are many (Chinese) alternatives...
  23. When looking to change my RC I looked at both the NX and the RX and in my opinion the RX comes out as more luxurious and better appointed than the NX. The RX is also roomier the the NX but there's not much in it.
