  1. You would be well advised to follow Herbie's link above to get the owner's handbook, along with the Nav handbook. Meanwhile if your UX250 is anything like to UX300e I recently drove, the audio controls are in the centre console at the 'nose' of the arm rest, next to the touch pad. The On/Off is a push on the Volume adjuster...
  2. Previous owner had it debadged, not that uncommon..
  3. I very much doubt the subject is ever raised by any prospective buyer, so the saleperson will be completely ignorant on the subject. Now what really worried me this afternoon, as I collected my car from the dealership after being serviced and I returned the UX300e courtesy car, commenting If that was AWD I'd be very interested. The service manager said but it is AWD! Really I said are you sure? Erm.... let me check. He asked a passing salesman, yes, I think it is...but... He reaches for the sales brochure and furiously searched through it... The service manager disappears into the sales principles office and I hear .. " The UX300e is AWD isn't it?" The answer was quite brusque and clearly shocking "NO! FWD only!!" Now I don't expect a service manager to know every in and out of every model but, seriously, something that fundamental???
  4. Curiosity
  5. Aren't windscreens now a structural part of the car, being bonded in place adding rigidity to the shell? That being the case any screen must be of sufficient strength/thickness and comply with type approval. Where pattern parts may differ from OEM is in tint shade and optical clarity. Speaking with the manager of our local Autoglass depot and most recently the mature chap who fitted my RC screen, 'pattern' or non-OEM screens are in 99% of cases, simply OEM screens that do not quite meet OEM specs. Very often the non OEM labelled screens are just that, genuine screens not labelled as such. Sold at cheaper cost, to keep insurance costs down.
  6. I had the screen replaced on my RC, also through SAGA. It took 3 weeks before a genuine Lexus screen could be sourced from Europe. Was the Legend built in the UK back then?
  7. The service tech can hardly be expected to change a fob battery if he doesn't physically have the fob?
  8. Only noticed it after nearly four years ownership! Surely a paint "defect" would have been noticeable from the first clean? This looks like something that's evolved over time to become bad enough for you to spot it. IMHO probably from poor cleaning technique
  9. It's all in the Nav handbook, Press Menu - “Destination” - “Recent” -
  10. You can delete all the previous owner's personal data.. This is something the dealer should do prior to sale IMHO Should be all in the navigation handbook (download it and the vehicle handbook, from the Lexus website if you don't have one) Menu button- Setup- General-Delete personal data- Delete..
  11. Difficult to see any difference from Sonic Titanium in pictures, I wonder how different they are? Might check it out when I drop my car off Tuesday..
  12. You sure it's not Titanium, rather than Platinum? The LS and RX F-Sport comes in Sonic Platinum
  13. By this they mean put the car into the Ready state in Park and let the hybrid battery recharge the 12v aux battery. If the hybrid battery get low on charge the petrol engine will fire up briefly to top up the charge. Perfectly practical ....
  14. There were similar errors and omissions in the 2019 RC brochures for the UK and after receiving my car I was offered numerous 'freebies' to compensate for the confusion. In my case particularly the confusion between the types of high beam assistance packages. The brochure clearly stating the car would come with adaptive high beam but actually only came with automatic high beam. Seems Lexus hasn't learnt to proof read it's spec sheets before releasing them!
