Every car I've had allows one to run the heater without a/c but i'd have to ask why would you?
Running the a/c keeps the seals lubricated helping to prevent refrigerant loss.
The system operates so much better when set to auto and a/c on all year round.
On a slight tangent, we used sound bombs (audio canons) to protect secure rooms and I installed on in my car but removed it fearful it might go off unintentionally!!
We also used 'clicker' blinders at night. Sensors would detect intruders and a gentle clicking noise would attract their gaze (it's almost impossible to not look in the direction of a sound in the dark) and then an adjacent xenon flash would go off temporarily blinding the intruders. That and the sound bomb usually left them disorientated enough for the security guards to apprehend them.
Four wheel geometry check is part of the annual service (at least at my dealership, others have other experiences), so if yours has the facility or usually farm it out, I'd have them check it out. They know the cars best?
During shipping up to PDS the main fuse is removed so there will be no drain whatsoever on the 12 volt battery
from the PDS documentation.

I believe the RHD versions will continue to be made in the Kyushu plant in Japan and starting 4th quarter this year, the LHD (mainly North American market sales) in the Cambridge plant in Ontario
