  1. Nicely put Renato. The NX loaner I had recently came with pedestrian warning which as far as I could ascertain, can not be switched off. I always use EV mode on leaving and returning home and on this NX this warning was disturbingly loud, especially when reversing. If I were to move on to the new NX450+ I would have to find a way to stop this noise.
  2. My understanding is the system creates a rolling code that changes at each activation. The thieves may capture the signal/code but it wouldn't work a second time.
  3. Really? I thought the hydrogen fuel cell simply provided electricity for the electric motor(s), so would be as silent, perhaps even more so as there is no ICE unlike in the NX.
  4. The loudest noise in my RC is my tinnitus 🥺
  5. If the car is under 3yrs old it's covered by the manufacture's warranty, no cost to you. What you may have bought(?) is a service plan ...
  6. There's also the Hybrid health check to consider...
  7. My RC and the NX loaner I had both have cornering lights that come on below ~25mph when indicating and when manoeuvring, turning the steering wheel past a set angle. When reversing both cornering lights come on, very useful
  8. How old is that tyre? Personally I'd replace it, or rather the pair on that axle.
  9. I've always used the stuff from Lexus, it's cheap enough. Apparently they are moving to tablets, rather than concentrated fluid. Kinder to the environment (i.e. cheaper to package and transport) Be careful mixing brands/types as it can lead to gel formation and blockages.
  10. Yes, there is a pedestrian alert sound when reversing and moving under 19kph and the petrol engine isn't running. I found it quite loud on my NX loaner, especially when reversing for some reason...
  11. Love it! 😎 What colour inside? That's the colour (Naples Yellow) I would have had if Mrs Nemesis had allowed it 🥺 with a white leather interior...
  12. I was always taught "Gears to go, brakes to slow" Much cheaper to replace pads and discs than transmission/engine components. Also if you are driving a hybrid by using engine braking you are missing out on recovering energy by regenerative braking. Unless one presses realy hard on the brake pedal you will be using the regen system, not the friction surfaces of the pads and discs. In most hybrid models this regen brake effect is on the rear wheels, so the same as using engine braking and car stability is monitored and corrected by the VDM system.
  13. If you know there's a lag, press the throttle sooner? Plan ahead?

  15. I use mine occasionally, whenever I want to have a bit of fun. Snick the transmission into S mode and the drive mode to Sport and off we go! PlayStation-like 'gear' changes, rev counter bouncing up and down ASC turned on and on high, gives the impression of realistic gear changes. But must say a good 80% of the time the car is just left to get on with it. "No point in having a dog and barking yourself"
