  1. Same here! There appears to be no button in the glove box either... I'm guessing it's a saloon/coupe vs SUV thing? One can easily access the inside of the car from the load area of an SUV. Not so easy in the other models
  2. So, they have quoted you a price to coat the ES? If so the balls in your court to call them to accept and book in? A car is a car to them and I'd be surprised if they turned away business
  3. Just checked the NX300h loaner I have and the tailgate cannot be opened without unlocking all the doors as well. Use the button on the tailgate will open the tailgate and simultaneously unlock all the doors. Use the remote fob button will have no effect unless the doors are unlocked first. On my RC300h the boot will operate totally independently of the doors status. You can double check the operation requirements in the NX 2016 handbook linked below. I haven't read through all the sections but it appears tailgate and door operations are combined.. https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/manuals/#manuals-form
  4. The exact two concerns I would have. The car I had also had an amazing amount of tech more advanced than my 2019 RC. I found it a very pleasant place to sit and drive.
  5. Could be but I thought Lexus reserved that colour for the LC?
  6. Dislike? I had one as a courtesy car recently and rather took to it. Perhaps a polite request to the forum admins might work? Try the 'Contact Us' button bottom of every page
  7. Have you check the button in the glove box? When depressed it disables remote boot opening (valet mode?)
  8. Apart from the lack of communication (nothing for almost a week) I've nothing to moan about. Courtesy car, very nice NX only 1k miles old and no costs apart from replacing fuel used, I'm happy. Different story if car was over 3yrs old. I'd expect electronics to last longer, so might be a fight on my hands...
  9. Yes, both my RC300h displayed wear on the inner edge of the rear tyres. I had both from new and had the geometry checked at each service, all spot on. Service tech did say it was normal on this model. Mine never wore down far enough to need replacing in my ownership. Previous car covered approx 27k miles.
  10. Got a call this evening, my car is ready for collection 👍 Apparently the sat nav module suffered an 'internal' failure and has been replaced. Why it took so long, Lexus insisted the dealership run all possible diagnostics before they would ok the replacement. I guess it's not cheap! Will collect Monday, all covered under warranty.
  11. LEDs pulse and depending on the frame rate for video and the shutter speed (sampling rate) for cameras it may have 'missed' the illumination on that side.
  12. Well, that's a whole week with no news from Lexus....
  13. There's a significant amount of sound deadening applied to the RC body. Plus clever material selection for various structural components. BODY STRUCTURE DETAILS LOW VIBRATION AND LOW NOISE BODY.pdf
  14. The pre-facelift RC300h was offered with mudflaps as an option, part of the protection pack, which I had fitted. The facelifted model had the protection pack but without mudflaps and even on direct request I was refused the option of having them fitted. The explanation being changes in the airflow, particularly in the rear wheel arch, made fitting was inadvisable i.e. Lexus dealers were not allowed to fit them.
  15. Seems a strange argument as if one were not using cruise control one would still be using the brakes anyway, to slow or keep to the speed limit on a steep downhill?
  16. This document detailing the aerodynamics designed into the RC shows how these small fins and additions change the airflow around the car. BODY STRUCTURE DETAILS AERODYNAMICS.pdf
