  1. Are Cross Climates available in the sizes on the RC now? They weren't last time I looked
  2. Perfectly normal. The top few lines are the antennae
  3. The MOT tester's manual also states that no more than two DRLs should fitted. It also states that cars first registered before 2018 do not need to be inspected (wrt DRLs). I'd suggest getting professional advice before fitting extra DRLs, as opposed to additional driving lights, these should normally only come on when selecting main beam. What does your insurance provider say? Might be prudent to get their take on adding lights?
  4. It's interesting in that both my RC models the engine will fire up after an overnight stop within 10secs of Ready mode (unless I invoke EV mode) but the car is moving under electric power. The engine is running but isn't under load. I can watch the battery bars reducing and on reaching 2 bars the engine note changes and I feel a slight sure in drive (I have a steep uphill from my house). I'm sure the ICE fires up to warm itself and the fluids, even in mid summer when there is no heat required for the cabin, just to be ready for when the traction battery needs a recharge (which obviously is quite soon). I guess it's all to reduce wear (not to load the engine until warm) and improve efficiency
  5. The engine will also run to maintain the designed fluid operating temps, even if the climate control is off the engine needs to keep itself warm to operate efficiently
  6. No significantly. One would need to go for winter or all season tyres
  7. I would to but my previous insurer stated any change from that supplied at the time of purchase (left the factory) is a modification. I did change to another size wheel and tyre, upped from 17" to the 18" optional shown in the handbook and they noted it on my policy but didn't change my premium, at the time..... I think the prudent action is to enquire of one's insurer before making any changes. Many don't penalise, many do!
  8. It's common in the colder weather for wide profile summer tyres to 'crab' 'clunk' or 'snatch' as the sidewall compound stiffens in the lower temps. My RC does it turning out of my driveway, first time it happened I thought I'd run over a brick!
