  1. "You don't get owt for nowt" Charging the battery puts a load on the engine which requires fuel to overcome. Yes, there will be a portion recovered from the regenerative braking though
  2. You fully lift off the throttle?
  3. Just as one should using a 3kw fan heater in one's lounge!
  4. From the link you posted (the main thrust seems to be around using extension leads of insufficient cross section conductors, some talking of just 1.5mm!) "As sockets age the contacts can loosen, meaning that the contact between the socket and plug pins is not as firm as it should be, which may increase the risk of over heating. We would always recommend charging your EV from a relatively new branded socket, such as one manufactured by MK, Crabtree, Schneider, Hamilton etc. " The other socket in the image also shows early signs of overheating, suggesting an inferior product? A properly installed ring main with cable of 2.5mm conductors will handle the typical 10amps without issue As with anything electrical, get expert support and have the installation checked by a professional
  5. For that to happen I suggest there was either a loose terminal or broken wire. Perhaps an over rated fuse fitted?

  8. Is that the safe catch above the radiator? I've found that following the line of the upward slanted 'L' on the Lexus grill badge points the way to the little lever
  9. #1 As already stated with the key fob in your pocket, simply touch the door handle to lock #3 Is that when using an automated car wash? #4 With the key fob in your pocket, just press the boot release button. The boot unlocks and opens without unlocking the doors. Close the boot and it automatically locks. #7 When waiting in the car, don't switch off the Power switch, leave the car in the Ready state and everything still operates, including the climate control. If switching off and leaving the car simply press and hold the Lock button on the fob and all the windows and moon roof close automatically. This may need enabling by your dealership.
  10. It's a default on the 2019 RC, so I'd imagine it will be on later cars. From the handbook.. "This system allows the headlights and front position lights to be turned on for 30 seconds when the power switch is off. Pull the lever toward you and release it with the light switch is in Auto after turning the power switch off."

  12. Must admit I found the same. Probably is to the Japanese though!
