2 or 4 wheel drive
NemesisUK replied to Helenjohn's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
The terminology can be confused.. Look under the rear of the car, if there are drive shafts with CVs it will have drive to the rear as well as the front. How that drive is distributed will depend on the software control. -
Looking good!! TBH I find white cars the easiest to maintain, they don't show water marks and carry general dust much less noticeably than darker colours. 👍

Battery problem
NemesisUK replied to dog3665's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
Turning the climate control off when leaving the car in Ready mode will reduce the number of times the ICE kicks in as it won't need to heat the cabin -
Possibly here? https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/lexus-europe/lc500/URZ100R/11412/body/7501

Lexus dealership would be the obvious first call. Doesn't the badge front the cruise radar? Expect a big bill

Worked perfectly well on my 2016 and 2019 RC cars. I haven't tried it since getting my 2020 RX

Standing car
NemesisUK replied to markeyszoo's topic in Lexus IS 250 / Lexus IS 250C Club / Lexus IS 220D & IS 200D Club
Best option would be connect a maintenance charger (like a CTEK) that would keep the battery optimally charged and all the alarm and entry systems operational. Letting the battery go flat will degrade it's function over time. Disconnecting the battery will save the battery but maybe put you at odds with your insurer, as the security systems will be off (deliberately off, not failed because of a flat battery) -
Getting tyres from, and fitted by, dealers.
NemesisUK replied to Herbie's topic in Lexus General Discussions
When I enquired about having CC2 fitted my dealer spent ages hunting around for stock, there was none in the UK. They suggested various others and were open to any I requested but I went with ATS in the end. I'm not 100% sure every dealer fits tyres themselves or simply farms it out. Either way, in my mind, the dealer takes full responsibility for the work, so even if they don't fit themselves in their own workshop, any issues would be resolved through them. My dealer also price matched, this was a couple of years back ... -
How does this manifest itself? What leads you to think it's the 12v battery? When you leave the car to warm up do you have the transmission in Park or Neutral? P.S. you have your location as London, when has the temperature been at or below freezing?

2024 ES 300H trickle charging battery
NemesisUK replied to aneridgway's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Put the 12v battery on the trickle charger. $ months is a long time, the traction battery may well lose charge. Follow Lexus recommendations. Maintenance of hybrid battery.pdf -
Yes, service visits and any maintenance interventions are listed in the app under the relevant card, on my phone it's the first card shown . This in the UK but I can't see why it would be different in your location. If you find setting up the app a hassle, get your dealership to do it but sometimes one just has to persevere and put in the effort.

Take it back to the dealership and get them to sort it. Maybe it's locked because of the theft and requires a dealer reset, or from the IT techs..

Suitable trickle charger
NemesisUK replied to LBX2024's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
Many marques rebadge the CTEK as their own, Mercedes do and recommend leaving it connected indefinitely, many high end super cars are only rarely driven and sit happily for months. I've even seen cars in dealer showrooms plugged in to the CTEK. -
12 volt battery
NemesisUK replied to Alan Salisbury's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
I imagine one would have to declare this change to one's insurer? -
nx 300h f sport 19 plate
NemesisUK replied to 96 par's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
You have to have sufficient charge in the traction battery. One also has to be below a certain speed and throttle loading. Suggest a good read of the handbook to gain a better understanding of the requirements and limitations of the system. -
12 volt battery

Only if the fault can be attributed to the battery in any way..
