  1. Spoke to EBC. They plan to eventually make them, but that is months away 😢
  2. Thanks all. For discs and pads, Lexus are quoting £1284.14. If it’s the only option, fair enough, but I’ll definitely try EBC. I’ll update the post with my findings
  3. Looks like I need new front pads. On previous Lexus cars, I’d buy Brembos and get Lexus to fit them. What are the options for the LC? Is it a case of only Lexus can supply pads?
  4. Many many years ago, yes, it was
  5. Get a silver one 😜 Good luck with your hunt 👍
  6. Thanks for replying. I’ve used them loads in the past. Replaced tyres on my ISF, RCF, C63 and just this week, my S3. I got the impression that as the last job of the day (1930), he wanted any excuse to exit. Within seconds of arriving he said “This is going to be the hardest job of the day”.. With that sort of attitude I wasn’t going suggest Google, YouTube or reading the manual.
  7. Anyone ever successfully used a mobile tyre company to fit new tyres to their LC? Just had Tyres On The Drive round. “Sorry - can’t do that. Can’t use our jacks on that car” I wasn’t going to argue and will now just take it to Lexus (like it did when the fronts needed replacing). AA managed to jack it up when I had a stone stuck in the brakes!
  8. OMG. I hate being almost right. 4 months out, but look -
  9. Sounds amazing and better than meeting in some car park down South, staring at each other's cars and asking "Ooooooo - what exhaust have you got fitted?" 😁 I've done Scotland twice in the last few months. Epic place! Never taken a Lexus up there however........
  10. I agree with those that say it’s a personal choice. When I had an RCF, I opted for Quicksilver. Great noise when ragging it and not too bad at motorway speeds. BUT, it annoyed me when trying to drive the car at normal speeds where there was a definite drone. I’ve yet to hear an aftermarket F exhaust that doesn’t drone somewhere in the Rev range. If it was me, I’d only entertain a valved system. interestingly, with the LC, Lexus made big improvements exhaust wise.
  11. I agree. I have disabled mine and it is a pain, but I do sleep better for it 🙂 I don't know why the manufacturers don't put the key to sleep when it is static.
  12. Great news. I reckon it’ll be fine. I’d love to know what they were planning to do with it!
  13. Wow! How interesting. If it is.... get the scratches off the bonnet and she'll be as good as new! If it is, does the car being stolen screw the history and value? Edit: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=226&t=167843
  14. That stinks. Sorry to hear the bad news. I’m surprised they’d steal a GS-F. What are they going to do with it?
  15. Dude - one of the original crew leaving the fold. A sad day. Heh, I hope you’ve still got a Volvo 👍👍
  16. This is my understanding. My daily has Apple Carplay, my LC doesn't. Doesn't really bother me.
  17. I guess the average age of a Lexus driver is 112. I think Lexus charge loads of money just to shock the driver to keep them awake.
  18. £770! I'll be sat there drinking their coffee and eating whatever they have ALL DAY at that sort of money 🙂 In all seriousness, how long does it take to carry out the service? What's typical hourly rate - £180?
  19. All madness as far as I'm concerned, especially if you have a 5.0 V8 that is used infrequently (e.g. second car). You pay 'tax' for a car that is sitting still.
  20. Cancelled due to lack of interest
  21. Due to lack of interest, I've decided not to invest any further time in this.
  22. I'm going to go for a drive through Wales. If you fancy it, stick your name below. Anyone is welcome to tag along even LC500 drivers! When: Sunday 26th Feb 2023 Where: Start, probably around Ross on Wye
  23. Known problems 1. Seat movement 2. Knocking noise from subframe 3. Fuel flap mechanism Worth looking at the US forums. Much more information can be found
