  1. True. Always been true of all Fs (excluding LFA). If you end up buying an F car, chances are you’ve put a lot of thought into it. ISF / GSF / RCF - few people stumble on a purchase
  2. You could get a comparison of the GS-F and the M4 from @Mark G
  3. Interesting post. @Warrington guy is your man to answer all these questions. The things I think you have missed off the list are - RCF Advantages Sound - M4 can’t compete Exclusivity Build quality Refinement Dealer service Public interest - RCF wins BMW Advantages Steering Torque
  4. Ratty @Big Rat - how much is a brand new Quicksilver exhaust?
  5. Yes, the quality of the sound the QS emits is far better than any F exhaust I’ve ever heard. The fact that it is the ONLY exhaust endorsed by Lexus makes it worth its weight in gold!! Mind you, it’s so much lighter than the stock system!
  6. Are you suggesting that Dave has owned his M3 for a while now? 😜
  7. You are comparing incomparable items. An RC-F is not an investment. It is an ultra reliable car that can be enjoyed. Your two 'classics' are completely different. If you really want to invest £40k, buy some property, play with the markets, etc etc. The low end Ferrari and the NSX are unlikely to make you big money percentage wise. If you try to use them like an F car, chances are you'll be facing some big bills. As for free money, those that buy a car cash will have already done the calculations prior to purchase, and will have ample funds free.
  8. Dan - good on you for organising this! Sounds like a blast! Unfortunately, I have stuff on and can't make either weekend. Good luck with it - and I hope you get loads of members signing up!
  9. OK - these cars may depreciate less - maybe even gain a few pounds in value. I've now owned two F cars and neither have cost me a penny (outside of tyres, brakes etc). Running and servicing a Ferrari - different ball game. No way could you use it like you can an F and expect no issues! Even something like an NSX (which has got an amazing reliability record) could end up costing you large! NSX - lovely car, and I would consider having one. This one however is an auto. Bottom of the collector's list. Finally, as for buying cars cash..... why not? You know where you are and you don't pay interest. If you've already got ample investments in other areas and don't need free cash set aside, then why not buy a car cash? Edit: Depreciation wise, many RC-Fs have already shed £s. a £65k car for £30k - not bad really is it. For that, you have a bullet proof NA V8, with traffic stopping looks and a modern cabin.
  10. Hopefully said in jest. I’m sure you really wouldn’t want to see anyone come to harm!
  11. At least it's one of the funny pink coloured ones
  12. And if you do use GS-F brakes properly, they catch fire! Damned if you do..... damned if you don't 😉
  13. That's funny! Should just delay it until the the 20th Year Anniversary. We should all be in a GS by then!
  14. Make sure it doesn't clash with WB4 please!
  15. Has the 10 year Anniversary nose dived?
  16. Won’t really be that easy to spot with all the other Blue RCF (base models) on the road 🤗
  17. In addition, could I also suggest 1. Attending a course on sheep herding. This will help you get all attendees in the right place at the right time 2. Spending hours on Google maps / YouTube 3. Preparing yourself for some stress 4. Preparimg for the fact that even after days of route planning, and providing implicit navigational instructions (that could be followed by an Albanian goat herder in the dark), some attendees will insist on being sheep like and getting lost 5. Have a great sense of humour 😂 I’ve now organised at least 6 Lexus F driving events and numerous meets. It’s nothing but fun - I promise.......... 🤪
  18. I'm tempted to buy either a GS300h or a GS450h. I'm in no mad rush and am therefore interested in how the release of the ES (early next year?) is going to impact prices of used GS vehicles. Love to hear your thoughts? 👍
  19. Did I read this right..... a volunteer to press a button and get this organised! Excellent 😀
