  1. IS-F is a great car. I remember discussing the long term outlook of the IS-F with six other owners. This was.... four years ago I guess. The conclusion I came to was that sooner or later the ultra reliable car will start to have failing components. Inevitable. Unlike Audi / BMW / Mercedes, there’s simply not the wealth of after market replacement parts. This will make the ISF more expensive to fix. Try costing a new steering rack (common failure) or a radiator and you’ll be looking at big bucks. I think with recent reported issues, I’d go for a younger RC-F.
  2. F cars are difficult to shift. Either you take the hit and trade it in or just be patient as there never seems to be an abundance of buyers. The other issue is that many people these days want PCP. Good luck 👍
  3. Yes; baby 4.0 twin turbo. I miss Lexus build quality. The Merc’s is OK, but Lexus build quality is utterly brilliant. But on the whole, I like the fact that the 63 provides entertainment at low speeds, whereas I found I had to spank an F car to get enjoyment.
  4. I’ve owned an IS-F (and RCF). They are muted. You can stick an aftermarket exhaust on them, but I disliked the associated drone. A C63 of that era wins hands down noise wise. The best part of the Lexus sound track is the induction noise - but you have to be gunning it to make the most of it. Outside of the noise, the ISF wins on every count in my opinion. I’m not biased by the way, I drive a 63 (w205) God luck!
  5. I wouldn’t be worried about the roof.
  6. Except the blades looked MUCH better 😂
  7. Hard to get past that colour. I know that's subjective. I don't think it's as pretty as the coupe.
  8. Can definitely be done. Best part would be that you wouldn't be dicking with your own stock exhaust.
  9. Actually @Drssg , John's got a good idea there. I've got a stock RC-F exhaust sat in my garage. Could make a nice project!
  10. Ha! My limited time driving with you, I'm not sure I entirely agree! 😁 Anyway, when you buying an AM V12 V?
  11. Whatever you go for - make sure it's valved.
  12. No - I didn't know. Will look now....... WOW! Is that your's?
  13. Amazing to think that you’ll soon be able to get an RC-F for under £20k. Big Bang for buck 👍
  14. Hi Mark. I've owned both an IS-F and an RC-F. Not trying to push you in one direction, but I found the RC-F had plenty of space in the back. My daughter (11 at the time I owned an RC-F) fitted in the back no problem at all. The RC-F is pretty flexible. From what I remember, the IS-F was no better than the RC-F regarding rear space...... maybe worse. Good luck!
  15. @Big Rat, the most infamous LOC member of all time has gone AMG. Surely, his Lexus understudies will follow?
  16. I wonder how Covid-19 is going to impact F car prices? Possibly some bargains out there once the government stops propping up the industry.
  17. Are you referring to the carbon bits or the fact that the whole car is still covered in undercoat? 😁
  18. I like them in white 😄
  19. Drawbacks - drone boyo Passenger ride - no worries 👍
  20. Definitely a waiting game. There have been lean periods before where there have been as little as 2 ISFs on Autotrader. I would imagine that it’ll soon be a buyers market. In addition to F cars being incredibly difficult to sell, you could be in a very strong position 👍
