  1. I’d think long and hard before buying an aftermarket exhaust unless it’s electronically switchable.
  2. Location - Gloucestershire
  3. I’m sick of storing some IS-F seats in my garage. Black. Good condition. Rear seats and driver’s. Have passenger leather as well (not seat). PM if you want to make an offer, otherwise they’re going in the skip next weekend.
  4. Having owned an IS-F and an RC-F, I moved to the 63 (w205) almost two years ago. There is life after F 😆 IMHO opinion, the 63 is more fun than an F car at low / medium speeds, but for my next car I might seek something even more involving..... maybe an A110 or an old school NSX.
  5. Amazing. Congratulations. You'll be selling ice cubes to the eskimos next!
  6. Dude! How you diddling? 😁 German cars. More reliable than expensive Swiss watches 🤣
  7. Go German. You’ll never look back 😜
  8. I wouldn't entertain an F car as a motorway munching machine. 8 speed box and lack of low down torque, I'd find it frustrating when overtaking. F cars are best when they are spanked. Up and down the motorway.... waste of a good car. There'll be better options out there.
  9. I sold mine in Apr 2019. I really couldn't be arsed with selling an F car privately and just chopped it in.
  10. As we know, these cars are so hard to value. Have you priced it right? Proof is in the pudding i.e. if it sells for £30k, you priced it right!
  11. Gosh. You’re right. He’s rather argumentative 😁
  12. A romantic view. I can name at least three members on here that have struggled to **** their RC-Fs privately. @tomRCFcarbon. No offence meant - I didn't realise it was your car, and I wish you every success in selling it. You can take or leave my advice, but I think you need a consistent set of images on Autotrader. Leave out the over processed pics and have a set of clean images. Just MHO.
  13. £25k - a combination of things. 1. Valued it on Autotrader and a couple of other sites. 2. Fundamentally, the car hasn't sold. So, if it hasn't sold at £30k, people will offer £25k. That's assuming the owner has received any offers at all? You have to remember what you are up against when selling an RC-F carbon. 1. BMW M4s are now hovering just about £20k. Right or not, the industry sees the M4 as a far superior car. 2. Those people knowing about F cars are few and far between. So the market is very small 3. Those that are in the know are going to be Lexus fans. Many of these will consider the carbon edition as too 'Halfords'. People on here have commented before that the carbon bits just don't look right. Finally, I will point out that I am not bashing the RC-F carbon. I was after all (probably) the first member on here to own one and have a full understanding of what the F brand is all about. However, I don't have a romantic view on the value of such vehicles.
  14. Definitely be patient. F cars are incredibly difficult to sell.
  15. There's one on Autotrader. Priced high at £30k. Probably more realistically worth £25k best.
  16. Looks good. I honestly don't think you can avoid drone on an F car
  17. Really surprised under track conditions the GSF wouldn’t cook the brakes. I’ve seen a GSF with smoking brakes on a fast road trip. They are quite portly cars
  18. Just very little demand.
  19. Be amazed if it was a V8
  20. Well written, honest review. The 5.0 V8 (in the the IS-F, RC-F & GS-F), it seems very difficult - if not impossible to get a good exhaust note without compromise. I agree, you have to spank an F car to get enjoyment out of it. One of the reasons I left the fold. As for twisties.......never had any complaints.
  21. The IS-F does have a firm ride - they all do irrespective of it being a later model. Having said that, unless you really struggle with the likes of a bad back, I’d say the IS-F ride is acceptable. As for the Abarth..... 🙈 What a crock of ****. Harsh ride, torque steer and fidgety. Great induction noise however.
