  1. Great stuff. I'll check that out. Anyone know what the score is warranty and fitting non oem pads?
  2. Nice one Gib. Where'd you order them from?
  3. Just got a quote from Lexus - Front Brake Pads is £511.34 inc VAT and for Rear Brake Pads is £331.94 inc VAT. :(
  4. Happy to omit cost
  5. Morning all. So, I think I'll be needing some new pads in the near future. I'll certainly get Lexus to quote for the work, but will consider other more frugal options. There seems to be a wealth of info from our friends over the pond, but I was wondering if it would be a good idea for a sticky thread to list what options you guys have gone for e.g. Type of pads, Link to pads, Cost of including fitting Apologies if a similar post exists :)
  6. I'm South West, so bit far for me :( If it was more Birmingham way I'd be in. Anyway, I look forward to seeing the pictures :)
  7. Is it possible to track how many are for sale and the average price? Be nice to have some idea of trend
  8. Not sure if you are interested, but as a bit of heads up on my search process for an ISF, I looked at 1. Autotrader 2. Pistonhead. From the website, I selected IS with an engine size greater than 4 litres. It never occurred to me to use EBay. Hope that helps.
  9. I know, you can't really be pigeon holed, but I thought it would be interesting to know a little about other ISF drivers. So, here goes. Age: 45 Occupation: IT / Photographer What about you?
  10. Good thinking. I'll pretty sure the aircon was off this morning, but I will check this evening (as I have some motorway driving to do).
  11. Did a little bit of motorway driving this morning. No wind whatsoever, so that eliminates crosswinds from the equation. I'd go as far as saying the steering is almost 'notchy'. Lexus are having the car back in to have an aircon gas leak fixed soon, so I'll get them to have a look at the steering as well. A bit disappointed to be having issues only a month in to ownership :(
  12. Yeh, I see your point. As the car is under warranty, I've informed the garage. At the end of the day, they are the experts, so hopefully they can shed some light on it. Thanks all for the responses :)
  13. Lexus had it for the day as it has a gas leak from the air con - but nowt else

  15. Wheels have certainly not taken a knock, not even a kiss with a kerb! :( Tracking wise, she doesn't pull to right or left
  16. I took the ISF down to Cornwall at the weekend (180 miles each way). The Mrs drove the first leg, and I couldn't help notice that she seemed to be making lots of tiny corrections to the keep the car pinned bang in the middle of the lane. When we swapped seats, I found the steering rather odd as well. When waited up with just a few degrees of turn left or right, all seemed fine. However, on the straights it felt jittery - almost like there was a numb point either side of dead centre. I stopped and checked the tyre pressures - which didn't seem to far out. Unfortunately, the rest of the journey was twisty A roads, so I was unable to tell if the problem had been fixed. On the return journey, I noticed the problem again, but also spotted that there was fair old bit of wind - cross winds. I'm want to believe that maybe the car is just susceptible to crosswinds, but I'm really not sure. OR maybe we were imagining things! I'd appreciate your thoughts. Cheers. 17. No idea - dealer sorted it all out under warranty.
  18. @Arqum you were bang on the money. They replace the gel pad and it's massively better :)
  19. Cool :) For me (and I know this may seem silly), the popping is very important.
  20. Hi Peter. Does it pop, bang, crackle on overrun? Cheers. Dav
  21. Week two of ownership for me :) My daily commute is currently 50 miles each way. So, the F is a garage toy. I guess this has pros and cons, but it does make driving it extra special - something to look forward to at the weekend. Off back to Wales tomorrow - should be a nice blat :)
  22. Correct me if I am wrong, but am I right in saying that with the gearbox set to 'drive', upshifts are automatic, but in manual up shifts have to be done manually? Is there anyway that in manual I can still get the upshift done automatically (before hitting the rev limiter)? Not the end of the world if this is not possible, it's just what I'm used to coming from a BMW. Apologies if dumb question. Many thanks :)
  23. Love that colour and interior. Superb.
