  1. I think @aidanjaye said " Still messing with insurance company on payout. Seems our ISFs are worth about 75-80% of what they retail second hand for??? Just hope forum members never have to get in same position as me. Try buying a A1 condition for 16K??"?
  2. GAP insurance purchased.
  3. I think I'll be getting GAP insurance sorted.
  4. Awesome. My part of the world too :) Is there any droning when cruising?
  5. Great stuff Mark. Have you got any more info on the product, price, time to fit etc? Many thanks, Dav PS: I found the secret gardener a little off putting in the video ;)
  6. Hi Ray. Welcome! Where abouts in Gloucestershire are you? Cheers. Dav
  7. Suppose it depends on your budget. C63 obvious option. Wildcard - Tesla? You could always keep the IS-F and have a family hatch for the 5 seater jobs.
  8. I'll keep an eye out for you :)
  9. Make that 4. Seen another one. Black near Newbury.
  10. I've now seen three on the road. White one, Gloucestershire Black one near Bristol AND this weekend, I saw a silver one coming off the M50 near Ross-On-Wye
  11. Well, that's very good news!!!!
  12. The ride is firm, no doubt. But I think it gets much worse press than it deserves. I suffer from a bad back, so I am relatively fussy. Our old 335i was arguably as bad as the ISF, and I thought the M3 (E92) was no better. Good luck with the search!
  13. Sounds a bit like journalistic creativity to me. In sport manual, the upshifts are harsh, but you don't have select this mode.
  14. Any updates on this from anyone. I've still heard nothing :(
  15. Almost certainly was in a world of his own and didn't see me. ISF was black 2013 I think. Very nice looking car :)
  16. Took the ISF to work today (as the daily drive is sick). On the way home I spotted........... ANOTHER ISF!!!! I pulled up alongside, beeped the horn.............but nothing :( Probably never happen again :(
  17. Hi Jon. I get what you are saying re getting spirited on public roads. In my case, the issue only arrives when I am overtaking, so I'm not necessarily lighting up the roads :)
  18. I didn't know about 'holding the up shift paddle'. I'll try that. It might sound like I am being picky, but I've been caught out in the following scenario - 1. Car in Drive mode 2. I change gear using paddles - habit 3. A few minutes later, go for an overtake, and expect an automatic up-change, but it doesn't happen Anyone else get caught out by this, or am I driving the ISF in a weird and unique way :) I suspect I'm going to have to stick to driving it in manual mode. Many thanks. Dav
  19. 3 months of ISF ownership, and still find myself experimenting with the gearbox modes. Until yesterday, I settled for manual shifting and Sport mode (mainly for throttle response). So yesterday, I had the desire for good throttle response and smooth up-changes. With my limited understanding, I went for Auto (drive mode) and Sport. I was surprised that I didn't get an auto upshift. I'm guessing this happened as I'd manually made a down-shift using the paddles a few mins previously. So, am I right in thinking that no matter what mode I am in, once I've made a change using the paddles I am in effect telling the car I want responsibility for making the up-shift? Is this what the following text (lifted from the manual) is saying? The AI-SHIFT automatically operates when the shift lever is in the D position. However, operating the “-” paddle shift switch will restrict the function’s operation. (Shifting the shift lever to the M position cancels the function.)
  20. Having spoken with my dealer, I was told that Lexus are almost ready with a fix. I guess wait and see.
  21. Sunny today! ;) Also worries me that Lexus can continue selling second hand vehicles knowing there is a potential fault. How does that work?
  22. Not heard anything, and car was at Lexus yesterday. Are all ISFs effected by this, or just certain aged cars?
  23. Thanks for all the info guys. What's the score with non oem brake parts and the Lexus warranty?
