    Firstly, great watch. Thanks for the post @Big Rat I see what he is saying about too much power. On the road, in anything other than dry conditions, you can't really use the IS-F's 400 ish BHP. If it was 4wd it would be different. As for his complaints about the the controls, they really are nowhere near as bad as he made out. I do however agree on the sat nav. The newer systems are better than the IS-F's, but still not intuitive at all! Finally, I wonder how much help Harris has just given the second hand GS-F market?

    I 'met' a Jaguar driver coming back from Wales. He was behind me in a queue of traffic. As we overtook I think he got a bit of a shock from the Lexus acceleration. :)

    Yes, interesting times. I was talking the chief technician at my dealer the other day, and he maintains that the IS-F is the best (affordable) F that Lexus has ever made. Obviously this excludes the 'cheap' LFA.

    Is he a rugby player? Yeh, I almost bought one before the F. My current Volvo snotter's mileage is getting a bit high and I'd be tempted by the S80 V8. So rare. To be honest, I'm a bit nervous that the F might never get taken out of my garage! Today, F is at AV8 - again!!! :)

    I agree on the two cars not being matched - for many reasons. Never driven an Insignia, but Volvos are well screwed together.

    I think Lexus misread the future. When all others lowered capacity and went turbo / sc, Lexus stayed NA. In my mind they are no doubt behind the rest and will be playing catchup. Just IMHO.
