  1. I always thought you should photograph a watch at 10:10. Having said that, you should also clean it and return bezel to correct position :(
  2. OK, I've just checked the title of this thread. Actually, I asked my guide dog to read it. He said it definitely does not say "Have a dig at Dav day!"
  3. Talking about yesterday, that blue IS-F of @Mark G's sounded good when it left.
  4. No, that's @emjay82! @Rusty Crobar likes Welsh cakes.
  5. EDIT: FFS :) So easily fooled by a fake!!!!!
  6. Hi Marcus. When do the insects start to come out to play?
  7. Still think that looks better than a GSF
  8. Please don't go posting stuff about the GS-F @Big rat will be dumping his lovely silver IS-F on the market in a flash!
  9. I like the IS convertible. I spoke to someone in the know and they were not that complimentary about that vehicle type. Apparently the roof suffers from all sorts of squeaks and rattles :(
  10. Just one more required for the MAGNIFICENT SEVEN!!!
  11. Am I right, with the addition of @Warrington guy's white IS-F, we will have all but a red one? Silver (top of the list), Grey - but are there two types? White Black Blue (bottom of list as blue ones are unreliable)
  12. I can't turn my back on this forum for a second! :)
  13. IMPORTANT UPDATE: We now have a dedicated area for this trip. If you are late to the party, PM me and I will send you details :) Update: The cool kids are - Those interested @Warrington guy - Cheshire @Rusty Crobar (aka tail end charlie. Got to stick him at the back not to alert the rossers!) - Cymru @Mark G (will inform the AA / RAC before leaving) - Chippenham, Wiltshire @Big Rat - will lead the convoy, as never in the history of mankind has anyone ever been able to keep up with him - Weston @Flytvr - Gloucestershire @emjay82 - on the look out for cake and property investments - Buckinghamshire @Chuckie478 - The Magnificent 7th!!!! - Somerset @Dar - London 22nd April @Mark G @emjay82 @Flytvr @Big Rat @Dar @Rusty Crobar All this talk about a trip to Scotland has got me thinking. How about a blat around mid Wales one weekend in April? There are some great roads and some terrific scenery. Was thinking of inviting anybody with a Lexus. Plan - enjoy a drive through the Welsh countryside, with a possible stay over at a seaside resort such as Aberystwyth. So, who's interested? So far, on the list, we have @Mark G and @Big Rat. So that's 3! @Rusty Crobar, @emjay82 - you know you want to!
  14. Deer are a major problem in my part of the world too. Dawn / dusk - real risk :(
  15. Tucked up in bed - and dirty
  16. Thanks @Dieselpete! I've done the triangle twice. Once in a BMW 335i and once in MK5 Golf R32. Loved the twisty bits, but from what I recall, through the forest section, you need to carry a lot of speed in order to have fun. Also, the triangle seems to be so well known and bloody busy.
  17. Hi @Dieselpete The water pump is an easy spot - apparently. The steering rack issue - not so easy. Difficult to say how many owners have encountered the issue. I saw plenty of people on the US forum with quotes similar to "Mine sometimes does that.". So, it is possible that there are more examples out there than we are aware of. Lets also not forget that the exact symptoms have been reported on other Toyota's. It is a recognised issue via a Lexus Service Bulletin (Google L-SB-0016-11). So, if it did occur, I'm not sure if you could push Lexus - even out of warranty? The £3.5K was what the dealer told me it costs for the rack to be replaced. How accurate this is, I don't know. I'm also guessing that if you got the rack fitted by a non Lexus dealer, then the price would be significantly less? Thats what I know. If I was a betting man (which I am not), you'd have to look at the percentages. Including mine, I've heard of one other that needed the rack replaced. So, what's that, less than 1%? I know the IS-F is so much more reliable than the competition. In fact it is more reliable than most cars, but as you said, it was a £50k+ car new. That's why when I bought mine, I was less worried about getting a deal, but happy I managed to get 3 years warranty :)
  18. Nice! Loving the interior. Let's hope the new GS-450 depreciates as quickly :)
  19. I'd rather have an rcf
  20. Great video. Back to the Harris review. It annoys me that some of things he really likes about the GS-F have always been in the IS-F. For example, the secondary air intake at 3.?K RPM. All of a sudden it's a big thing.
  21. Trouble is that Chris Harris and @Big Rat have just made the GS-F a future classic ;)
  22. Actually, if Rusty can do that, can you please increase house prices?
