  1. Lovely looking vehicle!
  2. Don't do it, there are some silver bashing members on here @Big Rat is the silver back silver defender, and even he has stopped mentioning the word 'silver'.
  3. No comment from me regarding silver either. I've been told that shiny black is best :)
  4. One of the happiest periods of car ownership I have ever experienced was back in the day when I had VWs. Nothing to do with the VW brand, just the fact that I found a VW specialist that more than knew his onions. Describe a problem to him and he more than likely diagnosed the issue even before I'd finished my sentence. So, when picking up the car, I knew the issue would have been fixed. Also, being his business, he cared as the buck stopped with him. I might as well be looking for a hen with teeth, but I'd love to have a local IS-F indie. I'd still get the servicing done at Lexus, but everything else..... I appreciate Lexus main dealers washing cars. However, I don't expect it and really wouldn't be that upset if they didn't do it. I rarely have time to sample the fruits of the expensive coffee machine and as for the pastries, all I can say is that @Rebecca must be an early bird. I'm much more interested in issues being diagnosed and fixed first time. This is where Lexus have failed me. My IS-F has been back with Lexus no fewer than 7 times since June. I am not going to list the issues, but there have been too many occasions where I've been told 'Yes, we've definitely fixed it this time' only to drive a mile down the road and realise that this is not the case. By reputation, maybe I expect too much from Lexus and therefore the Lexus dealers :(
  5. He did 6 adverts!!!! I saw them the other day! Be nice to @mark g, he has a present for you!
  6. That happens to @Big Rat all the time ;)
  7. That's an 09. Nice looking car :) That gear lever....... not sure I like that.
  8. Busy thread. Just in case some of you missed my suggestion :)
  9. That reminds me. I've got to pick up mine from Lexus tomorrow. Clicky drivers seat. Certain to be some fallout in Japan!
  10. Rat will probably put up a fence as well.
  11. Just seen a post that mentions the price of an E63 warranty and this got me thinking. If the IS-F didn't exist, what reliable V8 saloon car would I buy (for similar or less money)? What would you go for? I'd to be too scared to go German - so, BMW, Audi, Merc are out of the window. My choice..... the well known marriage of Sweden and Japan. The left field choice, the Volvo S80 V8. Could get one at a song and then supercharge it :)
  12. No disrespect to the IS-F, but there must be so many of us that ended up as IS-F owners due the fear of C63 / RS4 / M3 ownership. Having ended up an IS-F owner, I feel part of something special :)
  13. And an interesting read. Thank you!
  14. I'd make a crap detective :)
  15. Thank you very much :) John (@J Henderson), out of interest, how'd you know they are homologated for Audi?
  16. Started Feb. Here it is.

  18. Is it 4.6 or 4.8? Is it 416 or 417? Just numbers I guess :) As always @Big Rat, nice finds!
