Thanks everyone for the advice. Looks like I will just have to put up with the stone chips for now but will consider a respray of the bumper followed by ppf.

Hi All,
I recently tried to touch up some stone chips on my bonnet and front bumper but it's made the affected areas more noticeable!
My car is Azure blue so it's a very tricky colour to match... So the question is, would sending it to a specialist for detailing and ceramic coating help to hide the existing stone chips or is ceramic coating just to protect the paint from further(small) stone chips?
A respray would be a bit drastic and worried about the colour match...

Alfa Guila QF is a good shout and I would be tempted.

Good job you have the Lexus warranty!
Does anyone know if the Relax warranty would cover the gearbox?
-
Thanks everyone!
The company I ordered the touch-up paint from sent Toyota "Layart heat blue" but the paint code on the bottle is 8X1.
-
Hi, does anyone know the paint code for Azure blue? Need to get a touch-up paint.
I've looked under the bonnet and door area but can't find it..

The RCF is probably similar? I just replaced the front pads and disc @32K miles. The backs still have plenty of life left.

Well im 3-4k below dealers offering similar cars (not as good examples in my opinion) and have had a lot of interest but nothing solid yet. I know its only been a couple of weeks but i thought someone would have snapped this up with how good an example it is for the money it is up for. I've had some low ball offers out of the blue and without prior discussion that havent been entertained, i've also had some chats and relatively sensible offers which have amounted to nothing when push came to shove and coming to view the car was mentioned. Not sure how people do this for a living!
It can be hard work selling a car!... From past experience, when they try to negotiate the price before viewing it's usually a bad sign.
Unless you desperately need to sell just stick with your price but could take a few months. Good luck with the sale!

Another RCF spotted in the same car park today!
Silver Carbon. I recognise the plate from when it was for sale at Lexus Stoke.

I think the steering is a bit lighter on the RCF compared to the ISF I previously owned.. As for the seat belt position, there is a magnetic holder on the side of the seat so maybe it wasn't attached? No squeaks or rattles on my car and it's a 2015 model.

Thanks for posting Paul. Hope you are well!

Just had my 60K service done yesterday. I enquired about a service price without replacing the spark plugs but I got talked out of it and was offered a discount instead. Looking at the invoice the cost for spark plugs is £120 so labour cost must be quite expensive..
I was advised to get the Air con serviced(age of the car apparently) even though it's ice cold but I declined.
-
@Keith_W Hi Keith, did you speak to Lexus about not changing the spark plugs for the 60K service?
I need to book the same service next month and in a similar position to you in terms of low mileage.

Don't forget Lexus discontinued RC-F so dealers probably are allowed to discount them more now.
When was that announced? I thought it was just the RC300h & RC200t.

Welcome to the club @Wood Butcher ! Good to have another owner in the area. I've only see one other RCF which was a red carbon.
-
@Thackeray Thanks for the link! I've just ordered the Battery for the IS300h. £118 inc delivery 🙂
I also have an RCF and surprised it's only £79!
-
Can anyone recommend a cheaper replacement 12v Battery for the is300h? After doing some research the Toyota branded one(28800-YZZQX S46B24L) that cost £150 seems the best option.

I know the ISF isn't a Ferrari, but I want someone I know is competent to do any work on my car, preferably someone who knows Lexi well....
There's a member on this forum that has a list or recommended Lexus independent garages. I think his user name is Royoftherovers.

Looks really stealth! Loving the interior, better than all black.
How does the RCF compare to your wife's Mustang? I'm assuming she lets you drive it!

@timothyrogers62 lets see some pics of your unicorn 🙂

I think Toms car is listed at a great price. I remember Flytvr had problems selling his Carbon(white)..last year? But the market for F cars has changed and they tend to sell quicker compared to a year ago.

I started to wrap the sides but my of patience and worry about slicing a seal or the paint made me give up.
So at least it was easy to peel off then?
The badge coated really well with about 4 costs and then i laquered it

It's fairly easy to peel off if it's a thick coat. Was a real pain to mask off the bodywork though!..

If you buy them from autodoc/buycarparts make sure you paint them with some rust treatment before fitting. I had surface rust on mine shortly after fitting.
