  1. Not sure I am feeling that as yet but this is coming from the IS220D which had huge throttle lag so in comparison it's lightening :)
  2. I have never spent alot of money on music but enjoy listening to all sorts not just current but 80's and 90's too. I think my wife threw out all my old CD's when we moved but to be honest I hadn't listened to them since they were probably released. I tried out my new method of using my old Samsung S3 connected via Bluetooth Audio which worked mostly although a little annoying not being able to select specific tracks or albums from the car controls but I will persevere with this. If I wanted to use my USB stick to listen to the same tracks I would need to purchase each album from Amazon or another source to be able to download outside of the app, this is so they keep you using their software I guess.
  3. Just over a 1000 miles from new and managed this on mixed roads :) pretty pleased with that
  4. Sorry I should clarify, I actually felt the throttle was more responsive once broken in. How many miles does it take to break in the car?
  5. Had my car now for just over a 1000 miles from new. Does anyone know if it's noticeably more responsive once broken in or if the fuel economy improves? I am averaging 41mpg on mixed roads.
  6. What happens at these meets? I am interested but not sure if it's for me. Guessing it's not like a bunch of 17 year old with their loud exhausts on a Corsa and Fiesta XR2?
  7. Think these are a good feature as others have said useful for slowing down in a bit but points noted about using or not using in icey conditions.
  8. Think the waterless approach will struggle on a really dirty car, I am getting more driving in lately with an hour or so every other day and accumulating quite a bit of break dust and glued on buy splatter on the windscreen. All that said I have ordered another bottle of the stuff from Amazon with Prime and have maybe half a car's worth left in my 2nd bottle so will be seeing how well it does in a couple of days when I get some time. Might wash the wheels though instead of using the waterless stufff.
  9. Did try a USB but really these days who can be bothered to rip music. Why things like Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Music were invented. I might look at upgrading my phone at some point but will see how this goes.
  10. Thanks useful to know it's not just me. Was looking for some old photos on a Samaung Galaxy S3 and thought would try that and it seems to work fine, can skip tracks but not tried skipping albums. Don't mind too much having to start the app but what I am now planning on doing is using the S3 as just a music player, I use Amazon Music as I have Prime so makes sense to keep with Android. Am debating upgrading to a OnePlus 3 but don't want this issue which seems to be the OS OxygenOS by OnePlus. Glad have a temporary fix as have quite a few songs on Amazon I like to just shuffle so this should work.
  11. Anyone successfully use their Android phone to play music through Amazon Music or Google Music? Mine plays but can't skip forward/back for some reason. I have a OnePlus Two and know the Samsung S6 works as the Lexus engineer showed me but not looking to change to expensive phone just for this. Unless I have to!
  12. It's a shame there isn't a complete manual mode which actually forces thr driver to use the paddles or the gear shift. A shame but still think it's a nice feature that other cars in this class don't have so we should be thankful for that at least :)
  13. Sounds amazing, any pics of it yet? Is this a IS Gen 2 I guess?
  14. Oh well if they need to go away that's fine but with no spare available on these cars I'll need a loaner so hopefully my Lexus dealer can arrange one I hope.
  15. Curbed the same wheel :( on the spoke too so not happy. Grrr. have touched it up but is a shade darker. It's really visible too more so than the first time only a few weeks ago which is on the edge as you can see!! At least it's the same wheel I guess. Not happy but knew it was likely to happen as it's at the train station parking entrance at Milton Keynes where there is quite a narrow entrance with a sharp curb either side of the car so not avoidable!!!! Turning ever so slightly too soon causes the rear end to cut the corner and boom I knew I'd hit the curb. Going to see if the SMART repairer that my Lexus dealer use can improve it or does it need a complete wheel refurb? how long does that take or do people think a smart repair can sort it?
  16. recently adjusted the settings for the Tacho meter so it's the Rev counter even when not in Sport mode. Nicer dial I'd say but still differentiates from the LFA dial Obviosuly only on the F-Sport model of course. Setting can be found on the instrement panel controls under settings and Driver1 settings. Also prefer the Red needle than the white or blue available :)
  17. Sticking with waterless for now :)
  18. Seems it's best in traffic opposed to out. Opposite to normal petrol or diesel cars. How old are yours?
  19. Just changed my MPG reporting from After Reset to After Start and happily surprised I managed 43.5 on the way home :) lets see if I can improve on that then!
  20. Don't have experience of that area but as you suggested it will reroute and you could change Road Preferences once your at the junction before the M25. Be good of it did allow you to avoide certain roads planning a route but eveb Google Maps doesn't although I thought I've seen something ages ago that lets you drag the line over certain roads. It's on Map my ride now I think about it. Could use something like that then upload the gpx file if that's possible.
  21. This is a way off the quoted 60+mpg Lexus quote. I haven't seen above 35mpg but my commute is only 14miles to the train station. I hope once the car is broken in it will improve??
  22. With warmer weather the car dries quickly is my point. ;)
  23. I feel the waterless approach is still a good option especially in the dryer months when washing leaves so many water marks which I've found thr Maguiars washless stuff doesn't. I think I understand the reasons to use a clay bar now so thanks for that.
  24. Ok I get your point about the soft paint but that's intented to help the paint heal itself against light scratches I suppose. I agree waterless may only have it's use when there is light dirt but my experience so far is that it does seem to work on my IS, and with as good as a finish as if I spent hours with a few buckets and a hose. Am interested in trying claying though (if that's the correct term).. Ok it's 4am and my 2 year old is hopefully going to stay asleep so off to bed!
  25. The whole point of the waterless approach is "waterless" is it not? The Meguiars waterless wash & wax is not a new product to market and so far have no reason to doubt it works well without scratching the paintwork. I have used car washes, hand washes over the years and always have seen some sort of scratch swirl over time so this may well be the solution. Who can say their car has no scratches and will go to the lengths of throwing special black powder on it to show there are or aren't scratches? I will probably use a bucket of soapy water when it's particularly dirty but for the dryer months I will persevere with the waterless approach :)
