  1. Perhaps it is common knowledge but not to those new to it I guess... The 100% you mention in thr first year is the list price of the car right? Is that 20% off the list price as you save offset the full price of the car against your profit? I am a little unclear, no alot unclear how the car will effect my profit I guess. I am doing this through a PCP and have in my mind what my options are at the end of the contract but not really how my business will see it.
  2. Does that mean 18% of of the vehicle list price can be claimed back?
  3. Thanks but I think I need a dumb down interpretation as HMRC talk is also a little unclear (to me at least) What I want to know is what is the impact to my business having a car as a asset and how over the next few years it effects my profit I guess. I understand I think that the car will depreciate year on year but I am not clear if this is a good or bad thing for me as a director of my own limited company.
  4. Anyone here who has their own Limited company can explain to me the term "Write down" and what it means from a accounting perspective? I've heard people say the car can be written down 18% in the first year. Not really sure what this means. Apologies I know this is an accounting question but to thought there must be people on here who are running a Lexis IS300H as a company car
  5. Personally would avoid high mileage cars. Nothing wrong with putting miles on but wouldn't be happy with the excess mileage a cars done when buying one. Luxury models are nicer IMO or F-Sport if budget permits :)
  6. A shame on the tuning front but I bet in years to come it will be possible to..
  7. LOL seems a bit unlikely to work on the IS Hybrid then...
  8. Managed this on 140 mile round trip, M1, M25 and M40 back not in any rush but to see a IS300H Luxury in Grey for my father in law. (another soon to be owner :)) I am a little suspicious though as when I was in the Car mode on the Infot screen I selected Update and the MPG on the instrument panel seemee to be changing Real time rather than averaging out. Odd or maybe not?
  9. He said he'd mix up a colour and feather it in. He said if it was a whole wheel you might notice the colour difference. Hope I don't have to find out!
  10. Like I said I wanted to see how good a match a repair could get. I know now so am happy. !
  11. Hmm.. Suspect? https://www.amazon.com/Vehicle-ChipTuning-Remapping-Express-Performance/dp/B0177YJIY0?SubscriptionId=19FZ002EVKGD47C50K82&tag=topperformancechips.com.wprbt-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B0177YJIY0#immersive-view_1472279421958
  12. It is scary to think your going at that sort of speed so effortlessly. The revs do seem to top out around 120 though not that I've been trying! Would be interested if a remap is possible?? Someone must know...
  13. I am comfortable with what I paid so that is all I need to care about.
  14. yes agree but I didn't mind paying when it was sorted whilst I was there. The inconvenience of having to sort out a loan car costs me time and money (that's how I rationalize alot of things in my life these days!)
  15. Prices for Lexus car care products. Will give the Aqua free dry wash a go I think.
  16. I was going to leave it for a while but glad I've had it done and know the colour can be matched pretty damn well :)
  17. Give the waterless spray a go on a section of the car perhaps? I noticed in my Lexus dealer they have what looked like a similar product for only £4.99 so might have to look in to that too.
  18. Am curious as to if the performance has or can be tuned to eek out more. Is there such a thing as remapping a Hybrid?? Of course whilst I am under a lease and in warranty I wouldn't even consider it but would be very interested.
  19. They'll be more on this topic I guarantee it. Goes to show how much thought goes in to owning a car or is it just us Lexus owners??
  20. Before shot. Think it's a big improvement :)
  21. Was in the Lexus dealer today to sort a rattle and the wInsert other media heel guy was there so got it repaired. Pretty pleased with it :) The guy said because it was close to the edge he could feather the paint after rubbing it down which seemed to work. Was all done in under an hour for £84 inc VAT so not the cheapest but happy with the finish. Think the paint is a bit soft still as it felt it to the touch but guess after a day it will harden.
  22. Not been in a Sport but went straight for the F-Sport. a relative is hopefully buying a used Luxury model at the weekend so will see how that compares in the flesh.
  23. Agree with that statement, I am loving driving mine daily and even swapping train journey on 2 out 4 days I go into the office 50 miles away. Getting 50mpg is quite satisfactory but would like to reach the 60 Lexus claim. Sport or Normal mode is fast if you need it or want it that's for sure. Have noticed it can rev pretty high if you floor it. Anyone know the top speed they've managed? Obviously not a boy racer but do love the odd sprint against other exec cars and wipe their smile off their face haha
  24. It's pretty unanimous that it works so all good to keep using it I say :)
  25. Think the next one needs to have the ML system as this one isn't quite as good as what I had in the IS220D SE-L model which wasn't a ML! does seem to vary between what I am listening to on through Bluetooth compared to normal FM. DAB is better but have to pump the volume up and then switching to bluetooth audio I have to turn it down.
