  1. I might not make the nc500 trip but would be great to meet some of you lads if you're pit stopping anywhere near Perth and heading up the A9. Would be an interesting convoy.
  2. A healthy supply of Monte Cristo's will sort the midges out :-) Or a flame thrower.
  3. Self healing paint was on the list first 😉
  4. They suit the car plus much easier to clean all that brembo dust off every five miles.
  5. The later models have LED daylight running lights that you can turn off if you want. The headlamps are HID. They do have a hard drive for recording your CDs to and Bluetooth. The dash clocks are different as well with one big rev counter and a small analogue Speedo. Digital Speedo is inside the rev dial. Pretty sure those wheels were an option but I've seen a few for sale with them. Oh and the blue is a great colour and gets noticed but it also shows up everything lol.
  6. I know mate. I'm interested to see how the LC holds its value. Would love the gsf maybe in the future but more than happy with the isf just now. I think I'd be terrified to park it the LC anywhere.
  7. Nice, i've only had a seat inside the GSF in the showroom. LC500 i thought was something else to drive though just completely different. Strangely though i love the look of them in yellow.
  8. I think white is the holy grail of ISF's but i dont think i'd swap my blue one. I love that colour even in the rain where i think it glows brighter. Now a white GSF hmmmmm
  9. And all have superb taste in colour
  10. Finally passed another Isf. Nice looking grey one passed me in the opposite direction yesterday when I was heading towards Tyndrum. He managed a quick flash of the lights but I was too shocked and only managed a wave lol. I did notice the private plate with V8 in it which was cool. I've only seen a silver one that turned up at lexus Edinburgh for the LC preview but never passed one in over a years ownership.
  11. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferodo-DS2500-Front-Brake-Pads-for-Lexus-ISF-MK2-2007-Brembo-Models-FRP3100H-/322545529170 Found them but the price is abit high for me.
  12. I used to have them on an FN2 type r civic an they transformed the braking feel especially the initial bite. But they are more than double the price of pagid or Brembos pads.
  13. Just for a laugh lol I can honestly say the ISF's brake discs are the biggest I've ever seen in my car history. I burst out laughing at them. 35% off at ECP can't complain but I couldn't decide on pads. I'm thinking ebc yellow stuff from previous good experience on other cars.
  14. i was quarter the way alongside a carrera 4 yesterday but a car appeared at the end of the straight so i pulled back and kept my distance. (didnt want the front getting chipped) They are pretty quick, fairly even until higher speeds then the IS gained fast enough for me to attempt a cheeky overtake but sadly denied lol
  15. I completely agree. One example of this is the electric handbrake which only the new lexus models are starting to lose the foot operated handbrake. Renault's have had electric hand brakes for years and go wrong. I'm sure I read most lexus models take five years of development before being released. Another example that comes to mind is the standard auto box instead of using a duel clutch setup, how many DSG boxes have gone wrong in VAG motors? Thousands? Hundreds of thousands? Then you still have to replace the clutch plates, crazy.
  16. And to think silver normally hides the dirt well 😊 I gave in and washed it this afternoon. That blue is nearly as bad as black to keep clean.
  17. Lol yeah now that's pure filth.
  18. Thought I'd add a manky ISF pic instead of all the super shiny ones 😁
  19. Lexus Edinburgh will be getting a yellow Lc500 in July sometime. The 10 speed box was quick in manual mode but not sure about figures. I thought it was quicker downshifting and liked how it had a real reluctance to drop into 1st by itself in manual mode when crawling unlike the isf where 1st gear is always a lumpy downshift.
  20. They sound even worse on cold startup. I'm not a big fan of some of these turbo charged supposedly greener engines. Can't deny the fact they are quick but the sound puts me off. The M2 sounds better mind you.
  21. Sounds like a diesel with a big exhaust though.
  22. Unfortunately it was ****** with rain, heavy traffic and on roads I'm not familiar with but I did manage to open it up through 2nd into 3rd a couple of times. I think it put it's power down better than my ISF but i didn't notice it feeling any quicker. I couldn't get over how distant feeling that V8 felt, not even a bit of vibration off it and very quiet. The seating position was much lower but very comfortable and the suspension made the whole car feel silky smooth. I found the dash displays overwhelming , way too much to take in plus the guy was flicking through the driving modes so I wasn't getting a chance to take it all in properly. I'd love to own one but I'd be terrified to park it anywhere, I'm bad enough with my ISF which hides in the garage most of the time. Probably why I've been thinking about replacing it with an imported FJ cruiser.
  23. I know where your coming from with the I8. I had a chance to get a good look at a white one the other day in the works car park and I didn't like the back end on it. Like everything it's personal preferences. They had a sonic red LC500h with alot of beige leather. Wasn't sure about the interior but the colour looked great.
