IIRC there was a fuel test in Evo magazine comparing all the fuels. I believe that BP Ultimate won with Shell Optimax (The old school V-Power) coming second. The 95 RON fuels were down on power and torque on the test bed car (Think it was a MKV Golf GTi or could have even been an EP3 Civic Type R). This was about 10 years ago though and that edition of Evo long thrown away For me personally I will always look to put V-Power in mine (Shell station about 2 miles from my house) or if caught short will always go for the next best Premium Option. My old Integra Type R's and my S2000 all said at least 98 inside the fuel cap. I ran 102 RON in the ISF while over in Germany. It certainly didn't cause any issues and cost the same as 97/98 over here. 4 laps of the Ring later though and the tank was empty with a fairly decent MPG I thought. This included trip from station to track and cool down drives between laps so probably pushing 6mpg in track time ;-)

I read this in Evo recently and wondered by publishing that picture has Meaden effectively destroyed any hope of a successful warranty claim should something go wrong (as unlikely as it probably is)

It can be done. Not sure on IKEA pencil though. I prefer a nice Mont Blanc pen for mine.

Oh no.... it wasn't empty. It's just the light. That made it's way back from Germany on the back seat. Bottle rattling was a tad annoying though :-(

@Big Rat I am in... I was only messaging @Peter P18 a couple of days ago regarding which setup to go for. Got to spend the bonus on something other than nappies for the new arrival (due March) Loud exhausts help babies to sleep right? My 2 year old keeps telling me to "make the noise" and "go faster" when the intake flap opens so I know she will love it :-)

Myself and Lichelle have been through too much together (all good things I might add) for me to part with her for another F. I have done the 2 types of the same car before with 2 x white DC2 Integra Type R's and it just wasn't the same :-( No.... Instead she will be treated to a Cat Back H&S exhaust once bonus time arrives in March (obvs keeping the original exhaust in case I have to pop it back on for a main dealer warranty claim). New baby (number 2) is due in March so sticking with what I know for a while :-) Next year though... that's a different story. If only they did a GSF in white.... Oh wait..... :-)

I fitted these to my old Saxo VTR in 1999 (I was only 19 at the time so please forgive me the Saxo) I should imagine they would be a tad more expensive and complicated in the F. Could do it on the driveway with a can of WD40 and a multi-tool surely :-)
