Dont worry about white smoke,its more down to the cold weather.

A little blue could be down to slight wear on the rubber oil seals that stop the engine oil running down to the pistons overnight.Just keep a eye on the engine oil level.You will find the level wont really go down.You will be surprised how little engine oil is needed to make the engine smoke on start up.

You should find after the engines been started and run,on restarting there wont be any smoke from warm.

If its putting out blue smoke everytime its started then it might be worth have the valve stem rubbers replaced.

It might also be worth doing a ECU reset,just take the Battery lead of for a few minutes that might help

You will notice the difference mainly when on the move driving,with the power button on the car more likely to change down through the gears rather than use the torque of the engine.

The other thing to remember with the TT Soarer is you will have to run it on Super unleaded fuel or you might find the engine pinking ;)

It would be wise to take some time a have a look through the sections on here or have a look on TIF as they know all there is to know about the Soarer model.

If you dont do your homework then you might end up with repair bills for more than you paid for the car ;)

I found that the philips blue vision bulb gave me a better light/vison on my car.

If at stand still it still happens then the vibration is coming from the exhaust or from something on the engine.

If you have fully comp insurance then you should be covered and like whats said above around £60 excess and that wont have any effect on your insurance for the future.

If your T.P.F.F i dont think you will be covered.

You would be better off putting a secondhand autobox in from the breakers,most give a warranty of 30 days,i know swift breakers do.

I wouldnt recommend having it reconditioned,id go for a secondhand autobox.

Try giving Swift Lexus breakers a call they might be able to help you out.
