How does One Cancel Route Guidance?
Fatts replied to NemesisUK's topic in Lexus Audio/Video/Electronics/Security
Once in Navigation mode I.e Sat Nav running simply press on menu and a host of options come up - one of which is Suspend Guidance . simple as that -
My dad's first car was a Hillman bought in 1969 followed by a Toyota Corona in 1972 and thereafter a Toyota Crown in 1976 But I wouldn't say I was influenced by his choices as my first car was a beetle followed by a 1983 Honda Prelude . Have had many several makes since Like talking Montengo, Ford Granada (which I loved to bits and kept till it died ) and two Mercs the trusted W210 E class which I still drive.

I also have often pondered whether this can be done, but I don't think it can.

Mirrorlink for 2016 IS300H
Fatts replied to dave85iow's topic in Lexus Audio/Video/Electronics/Security
I think you will require some additional 3rd party adapters before mirror link could work. If you check the US forums am sure you will see related discussions on the topic. I found this link for IPhone users, very similar process but this is just for iPhones . -

Dealers don't have the manuals you have to request it from Lexus UK, best to just send an email request. -

Wallace I assume you have registered an account first on your home computer as that is the first step before going into the car to make a connection to the connected services. Secondly when performing the car connection for the first time it is easier if you're parked in front of your house thereby using your home wifi signal to complete the connection; subsequently you can access the connected services using your phone as a wifi hotspot. The process is well outlined in the Navigation manual. Unfortunately Lexus since 2015 don't always include the separate Navigation Manual handbook with the new cars anymore (apparently to be kind to the environment). It has to be requested specifically from Lexus UK. It was only when my copy of the Nav manual arrived before I was able to fully follow the set-up procedure. Good luck. -

Perhaps Lovejoy should take the matter up with Lexus GB for having a 2015 map installed in his 2017 car. Am sure Lexus will respond with a free update for him. -

Does anyone actually know how frequently Lexus updates their maps? At least customers would know when to expect the new update. -

Lovejoy usually a 2017 car would have been built in Japan around Oct -Nov 2016 and shipped over here such Car will have the latest Nav software at the time of assembly. The new portal is meant for all Lexus customers irrespective of the age of car, if you continue to have difficulty registering, I think the quickest way to get this resolved is to contact Lexus UK customer service or if you are on Facebook you could write to them via this link. https://www.facebook.com/LexusUK/. They would probably suggest a trip to your local dealership where am sure someone would help you with the set up. Hope you're enjoying the car though post some pics later.Regards -
Perhaps this short tutorial may help.

http://www.carscoops.com/2017/03/lexus-admits-that-it-lacks-allure-of.html?m=1 I actually feel Lexus cars are better or at par overall (speaking as a Merc owner for 15 yrs & a Lexus owner for 8). Lexus Navigation systems are way out of date when compared to the Audi or BMW systems. Just my opinion .

I don't get this navigation!!!
Fatts replied to B1001's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
For iPhone users there is another thread on the IS forum where I posted an alternative. It's installation require some geeky know-how but once installed it allows all the apps (incl Apple maps navigation) on the iPhone to work on the car's Nav screen. The OEM Nav functions are not affected and all factory settings are unaffected . See demo below. -
After further search I found this product Beat Sonic on the US forums. It is a iPhone mirroring system. (Watch) It appears to be the most popular product over there. Am still trying to find out whether they have a UK installer or retailer.

http://www.apple.com/uk/ios/carplay/ Often wondered why Lexus refuses to move with the times and simply provide an upgrade to allow this in their cars? http://www.apple.com/uk/ios/carplay/

MartinF perhaps you are doing something wrong I find it easy to set up once you have your V5 handy. Try giving it a second go because once set up you will be amazed the at features available through the Connected Services. See below I was able to get Street view, info about local petrol stations and their pump prices and location map. Weather information and many other features. I really think it is a great system once you know how to work it. Good luck. -

Service history online would be a good leap for Lexus buyers . Does anyone know whether this is available from other manufacturers or is it a Lexus first. -

Lexus Hatfield had one last week and by this Monday gone it's been sold, looks like Lexus UK gave one to each dealership to display and sell. Not for me though.- 32 replies

How well do you rate your Lexus dealer?
Fatts replied to Flytvr's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
They do drop & pick during servicing times i.e. they will drop the courtesy car at your house and pick your car up for service. But you'll need to book like 2 weeks ahead. Their service manager is Dale, and I have been using them since 2008. -

Lexus Hatfield are brilliant, friendly but are often very busy as they are the only one in Hertfordshire
