  1. I don't really see a problem with that. You don't know what was in the bay to the other side when the Hyundai was parked,
  2. The latest announcement on production delays does not seem to indicate any problems for the ES: https://global.toyota/en/newsroom/corporate/37487297.html
  3. I had a call from the dealer today. I originally ordered my Premium Edition in mid February, when it was quoted as July/August delivery. A call in April put that back to November/December. Today's call tells me it is currently showing October delivery. When I asked, it was confirmed it would be MY23, and that the change for the model year was the completely updated multimedia system. The dealer also confirmed the price I would be charged was as stated on my original order, and we know from the MY23 Price List already available that the car will still be under the £40k VED barrier, so I'm back to being a happy customer again. I'll be even happier once I see it's entered production. but I suppose I'll have to wait untill at least August to see that.
  4. Have you checked out the videos from Lexus Northside in the USA? OK, they're not UK specification, but many of the features are covered. https://www.northsidelexus.com/2022-vehicle-tutorial-videos/
  5. So are you looking forward to more delays so that you can tell yourself you've saved even more money?
  6. So the list price for Premium Edition at £39, 075 plus Special metallic at £920 keeps it £5 below the £40k VED break.
  7. From the Lexus Magazine: The Lexus Covenant guides every decision we make, every car we create and every service we provide. Within it, the following line promises the individual attention and sincere consideration that make Lexus a benchmark of customer satisfaction: “We will treat each customer as we would a guest in our home.”
  8. You can get the info first hand here. https://global.toyota/en/newsroom/?padid=ag478_from_header
  9. According to the media update link in this thread (3rd post), the background colour of the logo is changing to black!
  10. That's incredibly dangerous. All those people walking about on the road and not a single hi-viz vest among them!
  11. May I ask what delivery you've been quoted?
  12. I had another 'play' with this. I use outlook mail. When I emailed it to myself, it appeared as just the link. I clicked on the dots next to the standard mail options of forward, reply, etc, and there was a download option. I downloaded it, and went to my download directory. It's not a pdf, but an eml file. I clicked on 'open with', opened it with 'mail', and the file was there to read. Hope that helps.
  13. I think that's what Lexus call 'Omotenashi'.
  14. I've just checked. I took my cursor to the 'share' option. An envelope appeared. I clicked on that, and I could email a file to myself. I noticed the file was called a price list, and not a brochure - but that's all you get with the ES as well.
  15. If you click on the Menu (top left, three horizontal bars), is there a download option there? If not, click on the share icon (v on its side, just to the right of the square box). That should give you option to send it somewhere by email - email it to yourself.
  16. Many car forums seem to have a standard response of 'RTFM'.
  17. I've been clicking on the brochure link since November, and it only takes you to a price list. The price list you could download used to be several pages, and had a link to click on for the full brochure; this only took you back to the price list. I've asked dealers and Lexus GB for a brochure; there is no brochure.
  18. Have you clicked on the ES Brochure link? It takes you to a 4 page (including front and back cover) price list.
  19. As Lexus no longer offer brochures or a detailed price list with specifications, it's almost impossible for the customer to be able to tell what the exact specification is anyway.
  20. My order doesn't specify a model year. The dealer has accepted an order for an ES Premier Edition at the price shown. That's going to be my starting point.
  21. I don't suppose they gave any indication of what the "additional updates" might be?
  22. I believe the legal postion is that the lender cannot charge more than two months interest if you terminate early. This is from the Buyacar website: "You can settle a PCP deal at any stage by paying the settlement figure - in other words, the outstanding finance balance at that moment in time - which you can request from your lender. Make this payment and the car is then yours to keep or resell. The lender can only charge you up to two months' interest on the balance when calculating the settlement figure, so this should reduce the amount of interest you pay compared with continuing with the finance." So if you've borrowed £25,000, and the Lexus Finance interest rate is around 4%, then even with the full balance of £25k outstanding the maximum 'termination fee' they can charge is £167.
  23. I would imagine your order is based on the price list that was valid in December 2021. There was a price increase at January 2022, and another in February 2022. Would the dealer still price a revised order based on the December price list? I would doubt that.
  24. I wouldn't call a 4 page price list 'extended'. It used to be a lot more comprehensive when it showed standard and optional availability across the models.
