Very sorry to read that this has happened :( Maybe try the Chips-away type guys, - I am sure I read that they can sort this sort of thing... shop around for quotes from a number of bodyshop places (that's if you're intending on fixing it), - a lot of them offering "smart" repairs which should work out cheaper than full panel resprays. It might not be worth informing insurance, what with excess and future penalisation. Get it fixed - move on - one of those out of control things that happens.

The Michelin Primacy 3 MXV4 seem to be the most popular for the LS430 on the US forums. Pirelli P7+ has good reviews also - although neither seem to be available in the UK. A tyre good for one particular car doesn't necessarily seem a good choice for another, so reading reviews for tyres fitted on other cars doesn’t seem to carry much weight. Have you brought your new tyres yet, - ro made a decision? It's pretty tricky, given that apart from reviews, you can't buy before you try :D I have the impression that Michelin produce some of the best tyres, so tempted to stick with them. Just after the most quietest rubber with the least rolling resistance... I love the way the LS430 just rolls effortlessly on, so want to encourage this characteristic :)

You know, I wouldn't be surprised, as the bloke who sold me the car was a bit of a snake in the grass... - I'll have to have a closer look at it and see if it's marked, - i could always post a photo of it here if it's obvious. I'm still happy though with that range.

HI Sorry for such a late reply. It was already fitted when I brought the car, - it was installed by a company in Ireland called LPGain. I know it was specially sourced, and yes, it fits in the wheel well. Not sure how big the tank effectively is, - but I get a +/- 350 miles out of the LPG tank.

I have an 04 / facelifted LS430... all four tyres are going to need replacing soon, anyone have any recommendations, please? I currently have Michelin Super Sports all round.... - I find them pretty quiet on most surfaces.

Quick question,when you are filling with LPG and the progress rate starts to really slow... how long should you keep filling? How do you know when the tank is full... as then it's filling at a snails pace, I just give up.... ? I haven't noticed any No-Adapter notices, - similar story to above, I even had a kind gentleman at Cobham Shell garage offer to fill my car up for me, to which I accepted! First time in 20 years of driving that that's happened, and yes, he had to screw in the adapter. My filler on my 430 is also in the same hidden place & have a 95 ltre tank also.

Already done 1.5 hours in stop-start traffic on a hot afternoon on the M6 due to a lorry's tyre blown & all lanes but one closed. Sorry to disappoint you. Thanks Messi. No, I feel reasonably confident that Toyota & Lexus dealers, resellers & my mechanic's unanimous advice, is probably the correct. I'm sure we would have seen issues before now if they were all wrong. Out of pure interest & curiosity, I still look forward to titch's responses.

I agree, it is somewhat ambiguous. So what has led you to believe it means it needs mixing? And, if the "pre-mixed" needs mixing, what do you do with the "concentrate"?

Well that makes sense to me, as I would presume "concentrate" means that it DOES need diluting: "Concentrate definition: a substance made by removing or reducing the diluting agent; a concentrated form of something." So that's the difference between the two products, with two different labels. Why would they call the same product, both of which needs diluting, by two different names (i.e. "pre-mixed" and "concentrate")? I accept dealers have been known to give owners wrong advice, which is why I rang two of them. Forums have known to give duff advice also. Who would you believe if you were me? Two different Lexus dealerships, or an unknown poster on "the internet" ? Would you be able to post a link to an official Toyota or Lexus website which actually backs up what you believe?

My mechanic has seen a good few LS430's in his time and said also that suspension failure's are rare in his experience.

I think it would be an odd decision to label it "Pre-mixed" instead of "Concentrate".

I have just spoken to the parts departments at two different Lexus dealers: They both were absolutely 100% sure that the "Toyota Long Life Coolant Pre-Mixed Red" should be poured straight in, ie, it's already mixed. (I spoke to Woodford Essex, and Twickenham Surrey)

Ah - I didn't realise the red is what it was manufactured with. The car is relatively new to me, and it already had red in it. It was definitely Toyota Red... although I am not sure what make of Pink he used ?? Also - the Toyota Red stated "Pre-Mixed". Does this mean you pour it straight in, or, should "pre-mixed" be diluted? Many thanks :)
