A lot of people who have very little experience with the 220 will tell you a lot of things.. my experience of owning one for the past 7 years and putting over 80.000 miles on it is. DPF and EGR delete with a leto performance ECU gets rid of all your problems! 230bhp with 500nm of torque with no turbo lag feels great! And I have never got this clunky gear change thing people say...the gear change feels firm and assured maybe I'm just used to a more sportier car compared to other people I'm guessing people don't like to feel the gear actually going in. And when it comes to any head problems if you actually speak to any experienced Lexus engineers the actually is a very little amount of them that had any head gasket issues it's just well-publicised you get this with a lot of car models afew of them have a problem and people make out every single car that came off the production line has the problem when in reality it's a very little amount of them. In all the time I have had mine I have only heard of 3 needing a head gasket and let's be honest these cars are that old if they were going to have a problem they would have had it and been fixed by now

It's dead easy wash the car as normal before you dry the car use a different snow foam gun with polarseal in it foam the car then wash straight off and the car is sealed! -

This is what I have on my car there are very good kit

BC coilovers are about 700 quid and are very comfortable and very adjustable I always use BC on all my cars
-
-
I had this very same problem and it ended up then the turbo actuator!
-
Linas what are you talking about I was just looking at your prices you posted what is a BC coilovers at 700 quid! There are also other brand choices too and it's not that hard to find parts in the UK for Lexus but I haven't struggled anyway! I usually find buying parts from Lexus dealerships themselves are usually cheaper than anywhere else!
-
As said above coilovers been a harsh ride is a misconception I have the BC coilovers and is a very comfortable ride I have no idea how low is is as I just lower it into the wheels sit in the archers lol PS I wouldn't go any lower than 30mm on springs with a standard shock I don't understand what Mr vlads mates at Halfords are talking about if they're working in Halfords I wouldn't be listening to them too much they arent known for their expertise! Lol If you're wondering what I know about suspensions I spent the last 20-years in the modify car world and working with race cars

No need to wax anymore get yourself a snow foam gun and buy my autogylm polarseal! What's the car are as usual and before drying just threw the polarseal over the car and wash off once a month this will keep it protected! -
Looks like you bought a pup in the first place tbh I don't understand why you was paying £330 tax when my 2007 is £220. Your fuel economy figures aint the same either I get 35 round town and 42 to 48 on the motorway. Yes the EGR gets clogged but that happens on every diesel. When it comes to the head gasket problem it isn't so much of a problem as people make out it is.yes afew have gone but the ones that were going to go have probably already gone or have been fixed. The gearbox is a little long in the se model but there is a way around this if you invest in the leto performance ECU this gives you 230 brake horse and almost 500 foot pounds of torque! The car no drives like a petrol and is very capable! You don't even notice it's the gearbox anymore. I also don't find it clunky and my never grinds. Obviously with the leto performance ECU you've gone from 175 brake horsepower to 220 so that underpowered feel has gone there is no or hag at all drives like a dream! Hopefully for people that have got the 220 or would really like one this would be helpful advice just keep it maintained and find a well-maintained one I have had my 6 years and every year I think about selling up but end up keeping for a just another year!

225 35 19 front 255 35 19 rear it depends on how low you will run you may need to grab a heat gun and roller the bumps out of the inner archers at the front
