  1. Might not be related but worth a look
  2. I had this on my IS250 last year. I was particularly concerned when it happened on a perfectly smooth and flat bit of newly laid motorway. Someone on this forum suggested that it might be a flat spot on one or more tyres, sure enough when the time came to change them it completely disappeared. I hope it's something as simple for you.
  3. They tend to get a bit lazy with age, a strip down and a drop of silicone spray will possibly restore them to their former glory
  4. I remember that, he had everything including the radio turned off as he came back into London, the car was running on vapours. I thought it was a Jag though, time dulls the memory!
  5. Ah, you live and learn! Thanks for the info 👍
  6. My wife did a 140 mile round trip (essential journey). On the way there she drove the car like a hybrid, small increments of throttle and brake, coasting etc and got good mpg. On the return journey, cruise control was not as fuel efficient as lower limb input. I guess this is a uniquely hybrid thing but would like to understand the science if anyone has ideas?
  7. So disappointed that nobody went for 'chips'
  8. Like buying any car, you have to drive as many as you can and do an objective assessment of the pros and cons of each. I enjoyed the luxury and comfort of my 2006 SEL but didn't have satnav and reversing camera as it was too early a model. I bought a TomTom for 50 quid though and saved a couple of grand on a later model with higher mileage. At least you know the marque and model you're after, it's just down to trim level now with an eye on future desirability if/when you eventually sell!
  9. Are we saying that this will not be an issue on post 2014 cars then? We can do a battery change without fear of going through all this? It'd be good to know!
  10. Not sure what that means but great that you have it working again. I'm a bit disturbed that you're out of pocket though through no fault of your own.
  11. Well done for persevering, glad you got there in the end
  12. Sounds good to me although I'm not sure what the picture was showing!
