    Once a week for an hour is the current recommended procedure. Leave it in P with no radio, lights, A/C etc and the engine will cut in and out as required. A smart charger is another option, quite a few to choose from, I bought a NOCO Genius 5 from Halfords using the club discount but the Cetek MXS 5 seems popular with Lexus owners.

    Almost 2 months into ownership of my 300h and still 'getting to know it'. Hybrid driving is very different, for me it's about fuel economy after my V6 petrol IS250. The engine being a straight 4 is not as smooth, quiet and refined as the V6 but the whole Premier package gives a feeling of luxury which I very much enjoy

    What does the handbook say about this? Nothing in mine, I leave it it Eco mode most of the time. Eco mode controls the rate of acceleration and limits the functionality of the A/C. Nothing wrong with starting off from cold in Eco. If quoting the handbook we need to be accurate?
