  1. I agree but not sure how they managed to break the original. I'd have thought it would be replaced FOC
  2. Firstly, I'm not one who enjoys complaining or making a fuss, we're all human and therefore not perfect but we all have a point at which enough is enough. Yesterday my '67 plate is300h went in for a service and MOT at Lexus Hedge End. 54k miles on the clock, full Lexus service history well looked after car etc. When I booked the car in, I opted for an 0830 drop off and 1030 collection with a loan car so I could do some local errands while they had my car. When I dropped off my car I was told I'd get a phone call around 4pm when the car was ready, I questioned the timing and was told that with a loan car the normal timings don't count and they keep the car all day. Rather than argue, I took the loan LBX for a drive and managed to fill my day in Southampton. I got a phone call later in the day telling me that I had 2 dodgy tyres so I asked them to change them. No drama there. Also it seems that my passenger side windscreen jet was weak and they could run a diagnostic check for £192!! I declined of course and bought a replacement check valve for less than a fiver. When I picked up the car I noticed that one of the wheel centre caps was missing, (it hadn't been mentioned when I paid) I asked why and was told it 'disintegrated' during the tyre change but I could have a new one for just over £40. I also opted for the free 'clean your car' option which it turns out to be a quick vacuum and a wipe over with a damp cloth. I've had good service in the past from both Lexus Poole and Hedge End, I really hope this is a one off and not a nationwide main dealer malaise. I'm waiting to receive the survey request where of course I'll highlight these concerns but in the meantime Snows Hedge End have lost my business.
  3. Mine is post facelift, September 2017 and has had the recall. My dealership, Hedge End, are currently doing 10 per day and it's not limited to the 300h
  4. Does anyone else find that the DAB channel pops up on the infotainment display intermittently even when 'Display Off' has been selected? Also I get a message saying "Download not done." Can anyone enlighten to me as to what this download might be? Thanks.
  5. Like Pompeyscouser above, another shout out for Lexus Hedge End. I left my car all day as they gave me an all electric UX 300e to play with. The car really flew but it's not one for me, I much prefer my IS. Car washed, 1/4 tank of fuel added free of charge and excellent customer service, I'll be using them in the future instead of Poole. Full visual inspection done with video along with hybrid check. Faultless.
  6. Just fitted OEM blades from Lexus parts direct. Noiseless and smear free, very happy. Replaced the Bosch ones which seemed to have hardened over a year and just weren't up to the job
  7. I expect you met and spoke to Luke who was, I agree, exceptional. Sadly now gone. As an update on my earlier message, my car was collected at 8am this morning for a service and MOT, I live 40 minutes from Poole. I was clear that my car had to be returned by 2pm as that's when I finish work. I got a call at 1.15 telling me my car was still in the workshop and wouldn't be back on time. Luckily I insisted this morning that the sales manager who collected my car gave me his keys in exchange. I'm now driving his car.
  8. Apparently they now have one technician but they're still booking work for 3 then calling customers and cancelling the booking at short notice. Exactly what happened to me. Twice.
  9. Seems that Lexus Poole ((Hendy) are undergoing a reorganisation which has resulted in a severe fall off in their normally excellent customer service. Job roles being re-assigned, understaffing and key people leaving has caused me as a customer a few headaches to the point where Hedge End will get my business in the future.
  10. I made the switch from an IS250 to the IS300h nearly 2 years ago. I miss the V6 but the acid test is asking the question 'if I had the time again and knowing what I know now, would I do the same again?' In my case the answer is a resounding yes. It's a completely different car and I've changed my driving style but I really enjoy every minute.
  11. Standard 44 inch but I get your point, I'll remember that if I play at other courses 🙂
  12. Couldn't quite get all the clubs in there in the bag, I had to take the driver out. Then decided to drop one of the rear seats but that gave an awkward step which meant pushing and pulling. Finally decided that for £100 a year I'd leave my clubs in the dry, warm trolley shed at the course. Battery charging connection included so all very happy, I now have an empty boot and no loading and unloading at either end. Hasn't helped the handicap though 🙂
  13. Bought my 2017 IS330h Premier and sold my 2007 IS250 SE-L in December last year. 2 totally different cars but both very enjoyable for different reasons. The silky smooth V6 and slick gear changes were a pleasure as were the luxury, refinement and solid feel in the 250. The 300h just feels so much more modern and once you get used to the hybrid driving technique you enjoy increased mpg and a feeling of driving along in an elegant automobile with power on tap in sport mode if you want it. It's not blisteringly quick but I'd say on par with the 250. If you plant your right foot in sport mode, it will more likely make you grin than yawn. I loved my IS250 but if I could wind back the clock I'd do exactly the same again which is always a good indicator.
