When I was off work a couple of months ago we went for a few long runs, I got the MPG up to 62. Back to the daily commute and I'm on 41.7. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Where you live and your personal driving conditions are definitely the important factor. I've trialled Eco and normal, and for me, the normal non-holiday commute warrants Eco. The less congested Easter commute, normal. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Someone on this forum linked to this site http://www.wheelfitment.eu/car/Lexus/CT200h%20(2011%20-%20).html which advises the Prius space saver is compatible with the CT200h. As you suggest, Prius spare wheels are easier to source. I got a barely used one from eBay for £31 the other week. It fits in the well, but I had to take out the tray. My two previous cars had no spares, just the the gunk, and I sourced spares for those too. The gunk isn't much use if a valve snaps off either, which has happened to me.

I've had mine just over 3 months. My journey to work takes about 15 minutes and I'm usually bumper to bumper on the way home, so my average mileage sits at around 14 Mph. I've read some of the tips on here, turn AC off, drive in Eco mode etc. but I was only getting around 37Mpg. I was off work a couple of weeks ago and gave the car a few good runs. I learned a lot about how to get the most out of Eco mode and how to "pulse and glide". At the end of the week, the MPG had increased to 62, but the average speed was much higher. When I got back into my usual routine, it dropped again and it now sits at around 42. From what I gather from this forum and personal experience, the car achieves better MPG when driving at 40Mph or higher, rather than stop/start bumper to bumper journeys. Even so, I can't complain as I can go 4 weeks without having to fill the tank. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

I took the car back in today for further investigation. They offered me a hire car as they said it may be an overnight job. I got a call 3 hours later to say they'd diagnosed the noise as coming from the top mount and this had now been fixed and the car was ready for collection. Can't say how relieved I was. I hope this is the last time I need to take advantage of the warranty. I picked up a space saver at the weekend. It was from a 2010 Prius which had been used once and the tyre is in very good condition, it cost me £31, so I was very pleased. Thanks to the forum member who pointed out that the Prius wheels were compatible. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

I tested this out today. Using the volume buttons on the steering wheel worked for me too. Thanks for the info. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

It wasn't the suspension leg afterall. Back for more investigations next week... Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Mine was 3 years old at the end of January, it turned 12K miles today. Lexus did the MOT FOC and nothing was picked up on that. Fingers crossed that I will have no further need for the warranty after tomorrow. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

It seems my offside front suspension leg needs replacing, that's where the noise was coming from. The dealer is ordering the part and I have to take it back in on Monday. Thank goodness for the warranty! Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

I mentioned earlier that a friend of mine was having the same issue with the low tyre pressure light. He took it into Lexus this week and they found he had a nail in the tyre causing a slow puncture, so the light was working correctly. And as Ian said, they repaired the puncture FOC, now that's good customer service! Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Took the car in to Lexus on Wednesday afternoon. The mechanic came out with me and heard the click for himself. Straightaway he found a loose nut on the drivers door which we thought was going to be the culprit, could it be that simple :[ He took the car back to the garage and said he'd check it over. He said it wasn't the nut, but he couldn't find out what was causing the click sound. I have to take it in again in Monday and leave it with them all day. The plot thickens... Thanks 200h, he has an F-sport, he said he'll let me know how he gets on. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Thank you, I'll do that to rule it out, but it's not every revolution, I can literally expect this noise every time I run over a pot hole or the other side of a speed bump, but I have to be going over a certain speed. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

A friend of mine is having a similar problem with his IS300h, I've just asked him to see if his car has a similar button to reset the system. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Thank you Colin. Well I haven't done anything that would have caused it since I bought it. I'll post back after I've taken it to the dealer. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Over the weekend I've noticed a "click" sound coming from the drivers side front wheel when I run over a pot hole or a dip in the road. I'm off the week after next, so plan on taking the car in to be checked out. I bought it from a Lexus dealer last November and I believe it came with a 12 months warranty. Just wondering if this sort if thing would be covered under the warranty? I received no warranty documentation so can't check for myself. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

I usually do, well i have done two or three times i think since i got the car, hardly need to go now! It was a nectar points incentive. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Well my distance counter is now showing 0 miles, I wondered if it would go into negative but it didn't. I'll fill the tank next time I need fuel, but that's not likely to be for some time [emoji4] Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Yes, I mean the range on the trip. Seriously, you have to go every 3 or 4 days? It's more like every 3 or 4 weeks for me. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Is there a minimum amount of fuel you have to fill the tank with to get the digital fuel gauge to register? I'm asking as I put a tenners worth in twice (Nectar points incentive) and although the fuel gauge is registering half a tank, the digital fuel gauge is showing only 3 miles of fuel remain. I experienced similar previously with a Picasso but I can't find anything in the CT handbook about it. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Well that's good to hear. I didn't know that about the emissions, still learning about this car. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

All is well. Passed with flying colours and the MOT cost was covered by the dealer. They'd marked the account up to say they would cover any costs. I dont think they could have done it as early as November Mikey, I think there's a limit to how early it can be done. I'm just pleased there was no hassle and they kept their word. Mr thar dropped it off first thing and they ran him into work afterwards. They let him know when it was ready and picked him up from work to go and collect it, can't fault that for personal service! I picked up my new motor at the end of November. I noticed that the MOT was due at the end of January, and asked if my local Lexus dealer would cover the cost of the MOT in the deal. After much skirting around, they eventually agreed. Just hope they don't deny it when I drop it off tomorrow. Wish me luck guys! Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Update. I tried this with a USB stick playing mp3 tracks, and pressing the text button displayed the track name. But when I tried it on the FM radio, nothing happened whether I pressed it once, twice or press and hold. I know for a fact that Smooth displays track info on FM as I've just double checked on my portable radio, but it doesn't display on the Lexus radio for some reason. Ah well, not the end of the world, they tend to play the same stuff anyway :) Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
