  1. I've got the kit to do this too, but although I know the location, I've been unable to get the cover off. It seems to be anchored in somehow. Is the little arrow in the diagram saying to pull the front part down?
  2. Have they gone back to Yokohama? I thought they were now fitted with Bridgestone? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  3. Just to update. Had a local welder recommended to me and got the mount fixed today, cost £30. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  5. That's what I was thinking. I'll have to find a good local welder. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  6. I had my car in for an MOT recently. It passed the MOT but the visual safety report video showed that at the centre section of the exhaust, the exhaust mount was starting to break away. The technician said he recommended getting it checked out in a month or so. The advisory report says "Short system worn / damaged centre mount partly broken off." I am wondering what to do about this, Lexus quoted £420.09 to repair. I have attached screengrabs of the parts of the video which shows the technician pulling at the mount. Can anyone advise, is there part of the mount missing? Could I get this fixed without having to replace the system?
  7. Mine does this too. Shortly after I've parked up and engine off. Yep, sounds like a fart. It doesn't do it every time, but then I don't always sit in the car after I've parked up to notice. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  8. Think I've positioned mine discretely on the third visor. The wires are hidden apart from the connection to the ciggie lighter. Would still like to know how to access the internal fuse box if anyone can help. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks. I read about that, but I'd prefer to use the piggy back fuse kit I've already bought.
  10. I've just fitted a dash cam, which is currently powered by the ciggie lighter socket, but I want to hard wire it to tidy things up. I've bought the kit to do this, but I'm stumped with removing the cover under the glove compartment to access the internal fuse box. Using a flat head screw driver, I pushed the clip up, but still can't get the cover off. Can anyone offer any advice? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  11. Seems you're spot on Normski. It's the sensor for the auto wipers. I've never noticed it until today, doh! Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  12. Had my car just short of 2 years now and been looking into fitting a dash cam. I've only just noticed this black box thing (in the photos) behind the rear view mirror. Does everyone have one or just me? Anyone know what it is?
  13. I can get a weekly supermarket big shop in the boot easily if that helps. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  14. Permission from the insurer??? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  15. I'm with Aviva. I understood that I can't drive another car without asking permission. I must admit, I've driven my dad's, only once, without realising. When I was insured with LV a few years ago, I could drive any car without letting them know. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  16. OK thanks. Just need to find one now. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  17. Has anyone had cause to remove/replace their number plate mount? Just wondering how easy it is. Is it just a case of unscrewing the number plate and the mount and replacing?
  18. Thanks 200h, I didn't know much about it but I'd be silly not to try it. I usually renew on-line, are the results of the app monitoring usually taken into account at renewal? You said you had to contact them at your last renewal, was that an exception? I just checked and my premium actually went down a tenner last year. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  19. I'm a little worried about trying the app in case my premium goes up, although my driving style is a lot more sensible since I got the Lexus. I was with Aviva last year too and the renewal only went up a couple of quid this year.
  20. £311 with Aviva and I'm the same age as you floggit, (although I won't be in just over 3 weeks) :( I don't know if you use cashback sites, but Topcashback are offering £50.50 on new Aviva car insurance policies.

    Recall

I was told the parts for the recall were on back order when I took mine for it's MOT in January. Was hoping they'd contact me again when they had them in stock. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
