  1. I can't help you I'm afraid, but you've given me a suggestion as to what's causing my rattle, the dampner. I hope someone can help you with your problem.
  2. They are good prices, I paid £80, but mine was mint.
  3. Just be aware, I was lead to believe that prius rims would fit and bought a prius space saver wheel for that purpose. Although the spacings are the same, I found the brake calipers caught on the wheel I set off. I ended up sourcing a CT200h space saver, they are like hens teeth and not cheap. If I'd bought a regular prius wheel, that may have done the job. Maybe you could check your local scrappy if they have one as much more common than the Lexus?
  4. The ends of mine are spring loaded, but I have a 2013 62 model, maybe the design has changed.
  5. Yes, that is correct. My car was 10 years in January this year. I had it serviced in September last year and the warranty covers me until September 23 despite the car being more than 10 years old
  6. That's fair enough. I remember you saying that you possibly needed a big car.
  7. Would you not consider buying it back?
  8. I wouldn't recommend a Peugeot 308, personal experience, that was a money pit, but that was related to the Prince engine, not sure if they are the same these days
  9. My car developed a "click", a few months after I bought it. It turned out to be the top mount. May not be the same issue you're having, but here's my post with some of the possible diagnoses Lexus came to. https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/107037-noise-coming-from-drivers-side-front-wheel/?do=findComment&comment=945991
  10. I have a January 2013 SE-L, non-nav. Mine doesn't talk to me either, so I think it must be a different model on the video. Setting up Bluetooth is a pain! You can get both audio and phone to work, I did manage it eventually, but its very fiddly. I currently have phone only, as when I use my phone as a sat nav, the spoken directions weren't coming through and I can live without audio, at I tend to use radio or usb for my mostly short journeys. I had to do the set up again when I changed my phone and spent over an hour in the car, in November 🥶 trying to get the Bluetooth working, I did get there eventually.
  11. You've been lucky being able to source one, they were like hen's teeth when I was looking! I wrap my tools in an old towel, but would be interested to see if anyone knows where to get the insert.
  12. Mine has gone off on a couple of occasions and I've put it down to an insect inside the cabin. Hopefully it's the same for you.
  13. I bought this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-CT200-CATALYTIC-CONVERTER-ANTI-THEFT-PLATE-3MM-LOCKING-NUT-BOLTS-/254756479381?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 I got a mate to fit it for me. I came with locking bolts and is a decent thickness unlike some of the others I'd seen. If you're after the genuine Lexus one, you will pay a lot more, but it's personal choice I guess. If you search there are previous threads discussing them.
  14. @LasPalmas - Yes, it's only a couple of weeks since it was released, but it was just an off chance that someone had the same set up... and it seems someone did! 😃 Thanks wharfhouse, I've finally managed to set it up after hours of pulling my hair out and nearly flattening the battery! 🙄
  15. Has anyone got the new Google Pixel 6 and had issues connecting the Bluetooth to the CT media system, non-nav? I can get them to pair, but the sound comes through the phone, not the speakers. I've tried connecting audio and can get music from the phone through the speakers, so that works. Just wondering if this is an issue with the phone or the car. It worked perfectly before with my old Pixel 2.
  16. I have an after market cat lock and was considering putting a sticker on the car, but I haven't for this reason.
  17. I knew there would be some kind of catch. Someone had asked on Facebook whether the year warranty was included if you had an essential care service rather than the "normal" service, and the reply was it was included with all services. So now they're taken that option away have they 🤔
  18. The post about cat theft on the Lexus blog has been updated with more info, so Lexus should be aware of it https://mag.lexus.co.uk/catalytic-converter-theft/ "What is Lexus doing to stop its cars being targeted? In May 2021, Lexus (GB) announced that it would be covertly marking more than 100,000 catalytic converters in order to combat theft. By working with police and Smar****er, catalytic converters can be tagged with an invisible yet traceable marking, meaning that a stolen catalytic converter can be traced to a specific crime, helping police in their attempts to fight the organised gangs responsible. It also raises the risk to all those handling the devices along the criminal chain, from theft to eventual disposal and recycling. It is free to get the catalytic converter marked, all customers need to do is call their local Toyota or Lexus retailer to arrange a visit." 🤭
  19. I had a broken exhaust mount a couple of years ago. Lexus quoted me a similar price to replace. In the end, I took it to a local welder who fixed out for me, £30 iirc, he didn't disconnect any of the batteries, should he have? When I had the car in for MOT in January, whilst performing the health check, they noticed that part of the exhaust shield had come away. I had a mechanic mate fit a Catloc-likee in February, and he couldn't see anything wrong with the exhaust shield. If Lexus mention it next time it goes in, I'll go and see the welder again. Edit: It seems it was 3 years ago, I just found my post, you commented at the time stormchaser.
  20. If you mean outside temperature, yes it does.
  21. A neighbour, only a few hundred yards away from me, had his stolen from his Auris while it was parked on the drive early hours Friday morning. It's getting too close for comfort. Think I only got away with it as I have a "posh Prius". If anyone can recommend an eBay seller I'd be grateful. I'll do some searching for other posts on here, as I know there are several.
  22. I can't offer any advice I'm afraid. All I can say is, Lexus Bolton, who service my car, send me a video of the pre-inspection when I take it for service/MOT and they film the underside of the car, so I would be able to see any corrosion. Mine's a January 2013 reg, a bit, but not a great deal younger than yours. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  23. Thank you for the replies. I'll look into that eBay option 200h, soldering is not a skill I have mastered.
  24. Has anyone has this? Can the individual bulbs be replaced, or as a Youtube video suggests, does the whole housing have to be replaced?
