Brembo manufacture from 15 sites around the world, a massive new factory was opened in Michigan USA a couple of years ago, China admittedly can copy anything very well, they look the same as the originals until you come to use them the way they were intended..............then you will realise if they are real or fake.................

I don't understand what the source of amusement is, the car looks great, is very good to drive and can compete with any of the cars in the photo. Or am I missing something...................................

Weight wise the difference is next to nothing, the Gsf comes with more kit as standard but its a later car, I think it comes down to which car you prefer or suits your needs, both great cars.

On the Gsf I can turn the whole thing off. if it is coming through a speaker Stu I wouldn't say it is fake, if I listen to F1 on tv it isn't fake sound that is coming through my speakers, what I cant find out is how the car gets the sound to the speakers................

Well you know you can sit up front anytime, its just me that has to cope with you and the "counting cats eyes comments we take different lines.......... I think its now my turn to have my hearing assaulted...........................I cant wait.................

Exactly my question to Lexus and to a degree I understand the answer, which was "it is not an enhanced or synthesized electronic sound, it is the actual sound of the car.............. I have looked everywhere to find more information on how it is done, maybe someone with more patience than me can find it.

Stu, I believe it is piped in as opposed to synthesized, if the Rcf is the same as the Gsf then it is piped into the front speakers in Sport Mode and front and rear speakers in Sport+ , it is not piped in under Normal driving mode irrespective of the ASC light being lit, you can switch it off if needed, apparently in Sport+ if you are sat in the rear of my car it is rather loud according to @Big Rat

Absolutely, my opinion has always been they will rise in value, and not in the too distant future, some of the less well looked after examples wil probably fall in to the wrong hands but for me its a future classic, absolutely loved mine, went in p/ex against a GSF.

All cars will be welcome, it is the 10th Anniversary of the "F" car.

I think this could be an evolving problem for the Isf, as the prices drop and they fall into a price bracket where the potential buyers look only at the purchase price and don't take into account the running costs leading to missed services and cheap repairs, this would be a real shame, however my thoughts have always been that the ones that stay in the hands of the enthusiast will appreciate in value.

I was offered one, in fact initially I was going to take the LC500, however by the time I got home I figured it would be time to go back, well that was based on the 2-3 hours they told me initially, so I declined..................................

No difference with mine. I was there 5 hours, apparently they turn the RC-F models round quite quickly as they have done a few, however mine was the first GS-F they had in and the job was a little different........something to do with higher capacity pumps to contribute to the higher power output......................................

Ha ha, that genuinely made me laugh, I know what you mean, I don't think any of us actually know what is going on, only Lexus know..............and they are saying nothing.............

Rhys please don't think I am having s dig at anyone on here, this is just my take on the situation. If they aren't selling at the dealers for what they are asking then where are they going because they are going somewhere, they have to be, somebody is buying them, if the dealers were offloading them to independents and they in turn were advertising the cars at a price that people thought was closer to there true value then we would see them and be talking about them on here. I think the dealers are in the enviable position of being able to add their £5k profit and sit on the car, if it doesn't sell they move it to another part of the country and see what happens, I completely agree it is a strange situation, private buyers cant shift them when they are £3-£5k below the dealer price but the dealers don't appear to be able to shift them either. There we are, I have droned on for ages and still not arrived at the answer...............................
